Like to ask someone in my position if they know a good healthy menu plan for someone as myself who needs to lose over 100 lbs.....i know veggies, some protein are a must but i need more portion control help and ways to fend off food as I have lung disease and not mobile so hard to lose weight so must be low fat, no salt, extremely low carbs yet way........any suggestions how to fight off hunger would be more than welcomed. I have gone from size 12 to 3x since diagnosed with lung disease and put on oxygen 16 hours a day.
Anyone?
Naturally the less eaten, stomach will adapt and yes shrink....you will see a flatter profile if you keep with it. I did a similar thing before but did not stay with it.....wish I had....was doing well......just be sure to get the protein, fluid intake plus vits...(Vit D, C, Bs, Zinc very important)
what's the best menu for those of us who have had surgery? the diet i was given makes me puke
I'm doing the 'back on track'. I'll be 9 yrs out in August. I let my eating get out of control. So... question is has anyone tried syntax matrix whey protein (peanut butter cookie)
what about the protein from GNC? I've been doing Muscle milk and total lean lean shake.
im kinda starting all over and I'm sure in the past 9 yrs there had to be some awesome protein powders.
What I've been doing is taking a multi-vitamin, go about my day and when I log all my food, at the end of the day I see what vitamins (if any) that I fall short of 100% RDA, and take the supplement if needed, I particularly watch Calcium and Vit. D.

In the upper right-hand corner, click the little cog wheel, select Health Tracker, then the Nutrition tab, and there you'll find the food log, etc. I think that might be what you're looking for. Most of the people here use tracking apps on their phone, the most popular one being MyFitnessPal (MFP). They have a website also.
I meal prep on Sundays but only make enough for 2 or 3 days. I'm very IFFY about having cooked food out there going bad.
Yes, there are too many chooses but you must stick to them. Look forward and to the outcome.
I'm mostly into Ground turkey with veggies, or chicken breast with marinara sauce all over the top.
I really try to make my LUNCH time the biggest meal of the day. Dinner I really, really try to stay away. I focus on the Gym and something very lite.
It's been a long time since I've been on this site but it seems to me there used to be a link to a place where you could log all your food and it showed the amount of protein you eat the calories blah blah blah I can't seem to find it. It also had pre-programmed in food that all you had to do is click and search for it any help?
I find that if I limit my carbs to 30 grams or less a day, I have better results. I do this by following the Ketogenic diet guidelines. You can also follow Atkins guidelines. When I start to allow more carbs, I find that I'm hungry all the time and will eat more. Plus, I log all my food on the My Fitness Pal app to help keep me accountable. I eliminate as much sugar as I possibly can and try not to eat any wheat products or starchy vegetables. I carefully read labels and do my best to watch what I eat. I'm much more diligent now than I was before my surgery. If I get too much sugar, wheat products, or starchy veggies, I find that I get really hungry and I don't feel well--like when you get a sugar rush. Also, when I eat too many carbs, I don't always make the healthiest choices in my food intake, which, in turn, makes me feel sick. If this happened before my surgery, I don't remember it.
