Hubby made this for me as a treat. The cippolini's were slowly sauteed in a little olive oil, the shrimp and asparagus were given some brown on our grill (but you could just pan saute them). The scallops were then sauteed in the pan that the onions were browned in, to pickup the brown goodness left by the onions.
Total cook time 10 minutes!

It is better to travel and get lost...
Than never to travel at all.
I also have low IRON. For great results obviously is to eat lots of greens, high iron food. I purchased VITRON-C vitamins. It has lots of great reviews on it sits on your pouch longer to absorb the iron.
It includes Vitamin C
Hope it helps you.
Planning meals helps... then don't eat off that plan.
Don't bring it in the house... create a safe zone.
Set yourself up for success with healthier foods, snacks that you love around you.
But ultimately... above the neck work... therapy (highly recommend!)
Vitamin shop 100mg of thiamine.
Thank you for your reply. What brand of B1 do you take daily?
Hi. I had a thiamine deficiency three /four months post op. I am three years post op and I still continue to take thiamine 100mg daily. So far no issues and my thiamine levels have been stable.

I like Qdoba because I can get just some meat, veg, guac and salsa.
I also use Jersey Mike subs- you can get ANY of their subs in a bowl without a bun. The chicken philly is AWESOME.
I generally love Wendy's chili too and have eaten so much of it since my surgery that I had to back off
I have heard that Chick-Fill-a has some grilled chicken nuggets, but we don't have one around me. I would love those

I used Ricotta instead of the sour cream, and it was more like 1/4 cup instead of 2 tablespoons. I also added an egg to the topping, which made for a nice consistency...and more protein! I diced the carrots, onions, and celery (i also added celery) super fine before sauteing.

I'm no vet, but I would say you need dense protein to be reminded of your restriction. Start with 4oz portions of meat (grill up some steak or fish, or bake chicken thighs, etc). Then add in non-starchy veggies if you are still hungry!

I would repost this in the General Discussion forum. That's where the vets who can help you are most like to find this. I would give you advice, but I'm too new at this to be of any help. Good luck!
