I almost wanted to drive up to Storrs after the game to see the celebration, we are only about 20 minutes away. It was sooo exciting to see them win!
I sooooo hope the girls win tonight!!! I know I will be watching again and not breathing.
I am Grandma, my children's friends kids call me Momma Stacy....my niece just became a Grandmother for the first time and she is Granna. Her husband's name is Randy, so he is Grandy. One of the cutest I have heard is Lolly and Pop. It doesn't matter what they call you, because it is ALL grand !! 😀
I don't agree with the unionization, it will ruin college sports if they do it. The richest schools will then buy the best players and there will be no more competition. And I seriously doubt he goes to bed hungry, those players are like gods around the UCONN campus, if he ever has to pay for a meal I would be surprised.
Go Lady Huskies!
I am Gama Nise to them and hubby is Pa, they just figured it out on their own, It was so fun to wait and listen to what they came up with and what "stuck" :)

After six years of infertility treatments, my husband and I got lucky and conceived. When our daughter was born, she was the first baby in our family in over 25 years! It was a BIG deal!
I put the question to my parents... what did they want us to refer to them as, given we live far from them, we'd talk about them to our daughter frequently. What names did they want?
Mom vehemently rejected "Nanny" (she said it reminded her of a goat!), and she didn't want "Grandma" either. She settled on Nana. My dad opted for Poppy.
On my husband's side, the grandchildren who came along prior to the birth of our daughter already decided that for us... Nanny and Grampy they are. By using different names for all the grandparents, my daughter immediately knows whom we are referring to when we speak about them.
Good luck in your choice! I like Nana personally... it's sweet.

I was out with my younger sister (I have 5 sisters and I've always been the heavy one). She commented on why I wasn't eating Burger King (because she has always eaten BK and never gained a pound from it). She said "you've lost some weight, what more do you want?" My reply was I want my cholesterol lowered, I want to get my sugar/glucose in a healthy range, I want my vitamin levels stable. I want a strong heart and bones. I want better HEALTH. The weight loss is a wonderful benefit but for me it's about getting healthy. Living healthy !
I believe because all my sisters are all small, and always have been thin, that not one of them has taken their overall health into consideration. They are not focused on health, and that might be because they are younger but I believe it is because they don't have to think about what they eat, how they eat.

I do no****ch baskeball but this article I found interesting. This player says he goes to bed starving at night because he can't always afford food. Interesting since they make millions off of these players.
"You're too skinny". "You better stop losing weight now". "I would never have surgery - I prefer to do it the right way". "So, you had stomach stapling surgery then?"
