my mother in law told me at the first Christmas after my surgery when I had dropped 98 pounds that I looked emaciated. I googled "emaciated" clicked on images and said really? I look like this? I was still overweight at the time. She shut up.
Then my cousin said the other day I'm really glad you didn't gain it all back I thought for sure you would, everyone does. Mind you she doesn't know a single person who has had it personally, and I'm not even 2 years out yet, say that to me at 5 or 10 years good lord
I am so proud of my Huskies!! It's been too long since the last championship. Come on, girls, let's make it a sweep!

to you, good friend. Glad you're doing well, and the experience sure is different than the theory in life, isn't it?
Looking forward to your pics and whatever other additions you care to contribute, because you sure do good ones!

My grands call me Me-Ma........I'm too young to be a grandma.....lol
Congratulations! At least one happy gas station story!!!! And how cute was that it was a Love gas station.
My son doesn't have/want kids, but I have a cute story about what he called my mother when she was alive. My grandmother was grandma to my son, she was his great grandmother, so my son was left to pick a name to call my mom his grandmother. My moms name was Judy, which of course my son couldn't say when he was little so he called her JuJu, which stuck and he called her that until she died when he was 12. I don't recall what she thought she should be called but once my son settled on JuJu I started using is also to talk about her to him, its weird because had he called her Judy I don't think I could of said that, but since it was a nickname it felt okay. I have always had a hard time calling adults by their first name, my boyfriends mom is named Donna and I doubt I ever called her that ever.
I can finally breath again now that it is over. Now we just need one more win tomorrow night with the girls and we make history again.
16 Cruiser here. :)
Favorite cruises have been Alaska - Scenery is to die for! Whales, Eagles, Bears, Elk, Moose, Mountains and Glaciers, Glaciers, Glaciers. What more does a person need? :) The Exotic Western Caribbean sailing from San Juan was probably my 2nd favorite because we got to travel through the Portobelo & Gatun Locks in Colon, Panama. I've sailed out of several different ports and on a various sized ship. I am pretty good at getting great rock bottom prices. :) It's the only way I can afford to cruise.
I've sailed Carnival - I'm a Platinum Level guest, Royal Caribbean and Norwegian. Carnival has great State Rates (if your state is one of the states they are highlighting, you can save BIG) and something called "Pack and Go" Rates. Royal has special rates on selected sailings if booked on Wednesdays. Norwegian...well, they are my least favorite line.
