Guelph Update

Just a quick update that I thought I would pass on to everyone in the Guelph system that is worried about the surgery delays: I was informed by Audrey yesterday that surgeries are still going ahead. New surgeries have not been put on hold and they are still chugging ahead full speed. No surgeries have been cancelled even though Dr. P-H has been going back and forth to look after her mother, and they have 43 scheduled for June. They are doing approximately 30 per month and although there is a bit of a slow down over the summer due to holidays, they are still getting the job done. I was encouraged to keep making the right changes in my lifestyle and to try to be patient. Audrey also reminded me that we may not see many surgeries happening, but most of their patients are not signed up to this website, so we are not getting an accurate picture of how many surgeries they are doing. I feel much better hearing that and I know they will get to us just as quickly as they can.

Thanks for that update Laura! It's good to know that it's "business as usual" in Guelph & nothing's been cancelled or put on hold. She does have a valid point - not all surgical patients are members of this forum. The key word is "patience" I guess ( s-i-g-h......)

Thanks for the update. I  go back to Guelph June 13th had all my test and am to see the Nurse and Nut for hopefully the last time. Again Thanks
