Exercise
I started running at 3 months from surgery and have been running ever since. I am 9.5 months out and I run 5-10k every other day and bike 16k every day. I should say I am on a mission right now. I am volunteering to work in Nicaragua for 3 months next year and running/biking/walking the distance is a fundraiser for me, so I am moving like crazy to get the miles in. I think if I didn't have the motivation I could get pretty lazy. I've got about 850k done of my 3553k journey.
Keeping on the move has become a joy for me and since I started in the dead of winter I found I don't have to be afraid of running in the cold.

I had surgery in 2009 but I have had some problems. Going for surgery tomorrow to get things fixed. Even with my problems I am training everyday except for one day off. I do running, biking swimming strength training, kick boxing. I am training for a tri a tri triathlon. I am also going to do a 21k run in Nov and training for that will start at the end of July along with training for triathlon. As soon as I came home from my operation I was out there the next day walking 3times a day. As I got stronger I went further. The intesity level is pretty high with run training. At this point all my activities are high. I have a great coach who believes in me and helps me to keep it high.
Barb, wishing you the VERY best tomrrow! I'll be thinking of you. XOXOXO
