Thank You McDonalds

....for providing me a safe way to distribute halloween treats by offering very affordable paper coupons which I cannot eat!

I am very definately going this way come Halloween on Monday so that I can avoid temptation.  If I bought a box of those mini chocolate bars, I know I would have them eaten one-by-one over the weekend!

My local rec. center in Mississauga was offering booklets of  free swim, or free skate coupons (5 for $10), but they were all sold out by the time I went to get them.  Good idea for next year.

How do yo'all deal with the dreaded Halloween?  Am I the only one whose chocolate cravings take over come October???

Additionally, I am thinking of bribing my kids with a toy of their choice in exchange for their candy (minus a small stash for a daily treat or two for their lunchboxes).

I've got choir practice that night, the hubby never does the shelling out, so i'm being a humbug, the lights will be off and no candy will enter my house.

I refuse to buy any treats until the weekend before and when I do I'm getting the stuff i hate so i won't be tempted, if there is anything left over it comes into work and the masses can eat it.

That damn chocolate monster is whispering my name all the time and i tell him to SHUT HIS BIG TRAP....

I'm so excited to give out candy. I'm just nervous I won't be home in time! I know I can't have the candy and at this point I don't really want it.

Luckily, this year I can't eat any anyways as I am still on the pureed stage so its not an issue for me.
Next year though....I may need to come back to this thread...

Same here.  Not an issue for me at this point, but I'm sure next year it will haunt me!!!

Initially I was disappointed, for my son's sake, that my step-daughter is getting married on Halloween.  The little guy is now ok with it, as he went to 2 Halloween parties last weekend; it doesn't hurt that there will be a candy bar and a chocoate fountain at the wedding!  So I don't need to have any candy in my house AND I don't need to deal with the usual huge bag of candy leftover from my son's trick-or-treating.  Yea!  Now I need to figure out how to stay away from the huge amounts of candy that will be floating around at work and school for the next month.  Might try prayer...
