Hey everyone

Well I figured since I`m feeling better I would post to let you all know how I am doing. So I had surgery last Wednesday and at the beginning things were tuff but as the days go by, things are getting easier just like you said they would so thank you to everyone for the helpful information out there.

I have been getting my 2l of liquids in a day and approx 55 grams of protein. I have tried to different kind of purred soups, apple sauce and greek yogurt and everything went down well.
I am not generally h ungry but food does look good when I`m cooking it for my family.
I have really tried other foods yet I`m so scared my body will reject but by the end of this week I will start trying a bit of oatmeal and eggs.

I am so glad to be on the bench, oh and I alsmost forgot I am down 30 lbs since I started Optifast 4 weeks ago YAY :)

So glad to have all you wonderful people on here to chat everyday with about something we can relate.

Thank you for the update, I'm so glad you are feeling better. That's great you are getting in all your liquids and working your protien up.

Great to hear your feeling better.  Hint for someone who is week 3 post op.. keep the food moist/liquid like.  I've only heard from others but eggs can be difficult (personally I'm nervous) let me know how it goes though.  It sounds like your doing amazing.
If I could just get my family to sit for an hour while I finish my 1/3 of a cup of pureed salmon :) and one delish piece of melba toast I'd be laughing.    I guess it is too difficult to ask.  They get up clear the table take turns chatting...they'll get it eventually I hope.  Have a great week.

Hey Josee!!
I was just looking at your weight numbers, and they're almost exactly what mine were, over 300 presurgery, 288 at surgery, and our goal weights are identical! cool.

I'm so glad that you're doing well. I remember that feeling of being afraid to try something new, i would only try something different if i was at home, in case i reacted badly to it.

So happy for you, and i'm glad you're here on OH so we can help you along your way.
