I am very excited that the Yonanas Frozen Banana treat maker is now available in Canada, via the shopping channel!  I am SO getting one of these. My mom bought one and she loves it, she says it's easy to use and easy to clean. And not a huge appliance, so it doesn't take up a lot of storage space.

Don't throw away your uneaten bananas, peel'em and freez'em and make yourself a guilt free soft serve style treat... Omg, I am a little too excited... I sound like I am doing an infomercial for the damn thing... lol

My birthday is next month, and I am getting one! (I am a bit of a kitchen gadget freak )

Self proclaimed Kitchen Gadget ***** here but I'd not get one.  Have been making the same thing in my mini food processor for years.  I have 3 food processors all in different sizes so no need for another gadget when these ones do the same thing.

In an attempt to be thrifty, I may try the Spark recipe in my food processor first... you all make a very good point... and Lord knows there are many kitchen gadgets out there!

Toni, I add some greek yogurt to mine then I actually have protein in it instead of just lots of calories and carbs from bananas.

I just throw the frozen bananas in my magic bullet and let it go for a couple of minutes. Comes out like soft serve. Drizzle it with SF Hersheys Chocolate syrup and it is heaven in a bowl.

I am exploring P90X right now. Frozen banana protein smoothies/ice cream are a staple. Haven't tried it yet but will tonight as dessert.

Not to be a Debbie Downer or anything, but can I make a comment about bananas?

Bananas are very high in natural sugar and carbs.  One banana (which mushed up and frozen would be a VERY small little taste and over 100 calories) has 27g carbs and 14g natural sugar. They are wonderful for potassium and indeed a healthy food but really need to be eaten in moderation *especially* for those in their weight loss phase.
