I start 3 weeks of optifast next week and im wondering what i can add to it so I dont get so bored of it.  I have chocolate and vanilla.  Some people have said to add coffee but im not a coffee or tea drinker.  Please help and let me know what worked for you.

Congrats on the begining of your journey, a not so pleasant one, but it's worth it in the end :)

I'm not a coffee drinker either, but when I was on optifast I would add a few tablespoons of cold decaf coffee and 7 ice cubes and pass it throught my bullet.  It would a nice cold frothy frappacino style drink or even try blending it with just the ice cubes and the optifast.  I enjoyed the faux frapp consistency.  A friend of mine who had the vanilla would add the single serving drink crystals too it and she really enjoyed it.

Good luck :)

DaVinci Gourmet Sugar-free syrups! They saved me! Especially Caramel flavour! It makes optifast taste like dessert! Plus, I used different Extracts too...like orange, banana, peppermint, etc.

I picked up my DaVinci syrups at Low Carb Grocery...online..because I couldn't find any of the Tourini syrups around town... but Starbucks sells sugar-free syrups I am told...

Whatever you do, ALWAYS make sure to blend with ICE...makes it waaaay better!

ditto...a great SF syrup good before, during and after weight loss..it helps give flavour...another brand is Torani SF syrups as mentioned above

prior to surgery 323lbs....4 years post-op maintaining between 108- 114 lb loss.

I mixed 1/2 van and 1/2 choc and blended with ice - It was my favourite way to drink it! Good luck - it really isn't so bad.

I took this from another post from the other day...

Oknee said ...
"1.  as some one already suggested consider mixing vanilla and chocolate (half and half)
2.  I mixed my morning opti with decaf coffee, I found I needed something warm to start my day so I made decaf coffee (about 3/4 of the magic bullet mug) and added some room temperature water to it to "cool it down" add the opti and spin.  Always add the opti to the coffee never coffee into the opti as it ends up "gritty".  Maybe add some sugar free Carmel flavour syrup to it and feel decadent
3.consider adding a teaspoon or two of cocoa, or cocoa and decaf coffee to make a nice "mocha"
4.  I added orange crystal lite to my lunch shake and it tasted like a creamsicle
5.  I added raspberry ice to my supper one and it tasted like raspberry cream
6.  I know some people who added Epicurean savoury spice mixes as they just craved something savory
7.  Pumpkin pie spice strikes me as a possibility a nice "pumpkin" shake
8. Crystal Lite has a "ginger peach flavour" I like in my water. . .it might be worth consideration"

I added 2tsp cocoa to the vanilla. I also added tangerine crystal lite to the vanilla. I liked the chocolate and didn't add anything to it.
