checking in......
Hey there....
I realize it's been a while since I checked in, but life sure does get in the way of my cyber-surfing, lol.
I think (touch wood) that things are going to be ok regarding my stricture. I have really been able to eat a wide variety of foods since my last visit and I'm pretty stoked about that.
I have, to date, lost 85 pounds. That number seems so surreal at 4.5 months out. I never woulda thunk it. I have had a few stalls but have not gotten too worked up over them. I have had a little gain here or there but haven't worried. In the end, it all comes off in due time.
I'm glad to finally be able to hit the pool this week because I finally found a bathing suit that fits. No wardrobe malfunctions on the horizon at this point.....lmao.
I have a hard time taking a compliment. I'm not good at getting my photo taken so I don't really have any recent ones. I have, however, reached a few mini-goals for myself. I have bought, for the first time in as long as I could remember, a pair of jeans from Old Navy....and I feel pretty good in them. I also was able to buy a sweater at LULULEMON!! I never thought that would be possible! While they may seem like shallow goals, when you're used to being big, even the small things seem hugely important.
I don't care if I lose another ounce. Everything from here on in is a bonus as far as I'm concerned. It's nice to have the way I look on the outside starting to match the way I feel about myself on the inside.
Hope all is well with everyone on here......as I say, I don't post much but I still stalk all of you!! LMAO!
Cheers,
Nancy
PS: I'd change that effin ticker on my profile or try to create a new one that would reflect my loss to date, but the damn thing won't work for me.....so there.

So happy you finally got your stricture issue resolved.
Congrats on your NSV's. I bet it felt awesome to buy something from a "regular" store. I can't wait until I'm there, myself.

Hey there Missy -
I am so glad that the stricture business seems to have calmed down. That's scarey stuff.
And miserable.
The effin ticker does eventually resolves itself as well - sometimes you have to wait a bit for the system to catch up to you.
Try it again - it's so satisfying to see a cute little something marching downwards!

Congratulations, wow you are doing great.
The compliment thing is hard. I have learnt to just say "Thanks so much, that is really nice".
I use to say "thanks but I have so much more to go" or something like that. It still make me uncomfortable but I have learnt to take it. They are nice enough to say it so I am going to take it.
