Sleep Study

I had my consult for the sleep study as the new rules in Ontario dictate that you must meet the doctor prior to the study.  I was able to get a study for this Friday night, which works out well for me.  I told the doctor about that I am in the process of trying to get surgery and he feels that this is great and it totally on board and understanding that I have to get this process under control before I can get the ok from the surgeon.  I am very happy it is all coming to get together.

meet what doctor? I jsut had mine done on Friday night here in Sudbury. I asked my family doctor for a referal and I had seen the doctor as well at the Sudbury Regional assessment and treatment centre..

Is this a doctor you had to see that specializes in sleep disorders? I wasnt aware of any new rule!

I just had one in North Bay not long ago and I didn't see the sleep do****il after I did the sleep study as he goes over the results with you.  Nobody told me about a new rule.

as the others have posted, not sure what this new rule is that you're referring to.

Sorry I forgot to mention that I have had a previous sleep study in the past. Back in 1999, and they would not just let me have a study again.  Back then I also had surgery for sleep apnea and it was successful at the time, but now that my weight has more than doubled, I know its back with avengence. :(
