Starbucks
What was i thinking?
Went to Starbucks with a colleague where i ordered a Grande Non-fat Vanilla Latte, thinking this was a good option....didn't realize the non-fat only means skim milk, and the syrup is not the sugar free.... 200 calories and 37 carbs...Yikes!!! Threw out half of it..
Lesson Learned -don't go to fancy coffee places unless you know what is in it beforehand!!!
Think I will stick with the office coffee with my 2 oz of premier chocolate protein shake!

I frequent Starbucks a lot lately and the one barista has made it her duty to educate me lol...I learned that even if you order a skinny drink you aren't guaranteed to get SF syrup (white chocolate and coconut don't even come SF) so she says to always state SF as well as skinny...also if you add a protein scoop (which I do) ask them to mix the protein in the milk before they heat it because if you don't it clumps up and is truly disgusting and usually you can't even consume the protein parts so you just wasted your money.

I had a barista tell me that if people order skinny and it's with a syrup that isn't SF they have to tell them it has full sugar in it. I ordered a skinny pumpkin pie latte and she said I can't make it skinny but can make it non-fat as we don't carry SF pumpkin syrup. It doesn't hurt to say both if in doubt. I know which syrups are SF now so I don't worry.
