I'm sure they are doing what is best for you and it will all work out well, Leona!  Go ahead and whine about Optifast (I'm pretty sure that I did, lol).  I would be surprised if you had to take it again as your livers should be fine now.

I know but the thought did enter my warped little mind. . .there was mention of it as a way to get something to settle.  Right now it's a crap shoot when I eat whether it will stay or if I will blow.

Good luck with your revision. I hope it finally brings you relief!

Just out of curiosity... Have they discussed with you the whole weightloss scenario this time around. I don't know if you're currently at a normal, or close to normal, BMI. Is there any concern with losing too much with the added malabsorption with the new surgery?

It's gonna be odd starting from scratch all over again - especially since you've got so many years of experience under your belt.

All the best!

The revision to pouch is to decrease the GERD, I already have an extremely small sleeve which holds 3/4 of a cup and has several polyps along the suture line, the pouch will be much smaller than usual, but will hopefully stretch some.  Since the goal is not "significant weight loss" the discussion we had were more focused on maintaining. . .the dietician, like myself felt the counselling session quite odd.

Have aneasy recovery and speedy healing process.

If you don't mind me asking, why do you have to do it? Did you have hernia before surgery?

Alla.

I don't mind at all, here is the original link from "a few" days ago

It is hard to know if the natural "hole in my diaphragm" through which the easophagus passes is larger or if my sleeve is so small that it passes though there easily.  I have been told to avoid anything that increases intra-abdominal pressure like bending at the waist, liftin and vomiting.  The first two I manage quite easily the third. . .ya right!

**hugs** to you Leona.  I hope you are able to have a lap procedure and that it is sooner rather than later.  You need to get rid of the pain that you are currently experiencing.

Go ahead....ask me a question about iron.  I have a document sent to me by a professional that is all about iron.!!  Oh that`s right, it was YOU :)

Take care,

Judy
