Retail therapy!
So for those of you *****call my posting of a couple of weeks ago I am separating from my husband. This weekend marks a major milestone in that journey as he was moving out. I decided it was too painful to watch and went to my brothers in Michigan.
I have lost 145 pounds all together now and obviously have been going through changes in the wardrobe. I have just replaced by going to Value Village or getting clothes given to me by family. Only ever bought a few new things.
However I decided while here in Michigan to partake in some retail therapy. I managed to find dresses, skirts, jackets, jeans, shoes and some earrings. Had a blast. However I was shocked at the sizes I was buying. I swear that USA must have bigger sizes in their sizing. Because I am now wearing 12 and some 10's. Couldn't believe it! I have gone from a 28/30 to 10/12. I don't think when I started this journey I ever really imagined I would get down to this size. If I never lost another pound I would be extremely happy. I am in the homestretch and hoping to lose another 20 lbs.
I just have to say that retail therapy is just what I needed. And some of the items I got I think look really hot. And all I could think of about my husband ( who commented earlier this week that I look really great ) is "eat your heart out buddy "! Working out is very healthy for my venting! Lol
Hi Dar, I am soo sorry to hear about you and your husband. I missed your last post. I am glad you treated yourself to a little shopping therapy :) I think going to your brother's was the right thing to do...stay in a positive environment. You have come such a long way and you look great. When i think of you I see a very strong woman and you will get through this even though it is a very sad time for you. Keep reminding yourself of all you've done and all you will do :) Hugs, Sue
I'm not even sure I have enough words to express how much I LOVE LOVE LOVE this post. GOOD FOR YOU, lady!! (((HUGS)))
PS: I'm sure I'm not alone when I say I want to see some pics of these new clothes!! ;)

Tough weekend but good for you to recognize that you needed to be away. Congrats on the retail therapy!! and congrats on the compliment from your husband as he departs! Good for you to know that you rock!!
I'm so proud of you reconizing that you needed to get away for the weekend, as being at home would have been way to stressful!
It kind of reminds me of the saying, "When life gives you lemons, make lemonade!" Sounds like having a blast shopping and with your brother was a much better way to spend your time! Your such an inspiration and under difficult cir****tances your still holding faithful to yourself and your new life style. You go girlie! As far as him noticing your looking great, you have the right attitude!
Safe travels home! And thanks for sharing this update and I agree with Pat, we need to see some new pictures of you in your new outfits, shoes and earrings! What a great way of taking care of "YOU!" Happy Thanksgiving!
