Hi I am new here and have so many questions but right now I just want to say thank you all for all the info that you each have shared here....a lot of my questions were answered without even asking....
I went to my family Dr on Oct 3rd for my referral...yesterday my Dr called to say he had heard back and now I am just waiting for the orientation ...the hospital will be Humber...I am so excited and I know there are a lot of steps from this point hours, days and months of waiting but, I feel so good in having just took the first step.....thank you all again for this awesome site...

Surgery March 23/2011. Completed three full marathons and two half marathons, two half Ironman distances. Completed my first Full Ironman distance (4 km swim, 180 km bike, 42.2 km (full marathon) run) in Muskoka August 30/2015. Next Ironman Lake Placid July 23/2017!

Congrats on getting over the first hurdle. Since you will be at Humber, strap your seatbelt tight because it will be a fast ride to surgery (providing you do not have any medical conditions that are not stable).

Hi Kim

I had surgery in Ottawa in 2011. I did note that those going through Humber sometimes have surgery dates within six months.
