I bought myself skates when I hit my 100 lbs lost in January and finally got the courage this weekend to try them out.  This picture is of me skating with my 6 year old daughter on the Rideau canal in Ottawa.  So happy with this whole journey so far

Oh wow, congrats! My husband did the exact same thing a few weeks ago! He had his surgery Dec 2012 and has lost 80lbs. He told me he always wanted to skate on the Rideau Canal.

Good for you. Look great. It is amazing at the things we do now that we would not do before or could not do. There is so much more coming your way

That is so wonderful I can't wait to get enought weight off to try that.  I see all kinds of people on her talk about running but I have never had any interest in that but I hope next winter I will have enought wieght off that I could try skating again.  I have always loved it but have never been good at it but really want to learn how to stop and go backwards lol.  Your looking fantastic, good job.
