Hi everyone,

I'm slowly recovering from Tuesday's surgery. My surgery ran a little long, but everything went well and Dr. Neville did a good job. Regretfully, I didn't get to try the fancy beds everyone talked about. There was no bed for me when I came out of surgery, so I spent the night in recovery. The nurses there were awesome, and made a point of ensuring that I wasn't overlooked when it came to RNY-related information.

The week has been focused on protein, water, resting and short walks. Everything seem to be healing as planned. My pain gets better every day, and I am the burping queen of this household! (Temporarily, I hope.)

A big thank you to everyone in the Ottawa group who willing shared their experiences and provided guidance and advice. It helped ease my mind in the days leading up to surgery - I felt very prepared for what was going to happen.

I'm so glad that you are improving and all went well. After 5 months out, I'm still burping much to my husband's horror. Oh well, I don't want to burst or anything - lol.

Continued improvement!
