i got in touch with Karen a few years ago.... and there was talk of lunch but then she disappeared... ???? or got busy with life... i know she went thru a rough patch with her health but was on the mend... i don't think many go on obesity help anymore... sadly... haven't had much response... oh well... one can only try
take care of you!!!
Hi! I remember some of your names. I had VSG in 2009 in Ypsilanti, MI. I've been on a rollercoaster ride with my weight. I've stayed well below what I went into surgery at. I've never been able to maintain a lower weight.
I remember Karen but haven't heard of her in years.
Dr. Nandagopal is who I had a Fleur de lis tummy tuck and breast lift in 2012. I think he still practices in Richmond Hill now.
There was a surgeon everyone was recommending about 10 years back in Toronto or Scarborough area, does anyone know who that is? He worked with OHIP and would piggy back personal surgery on that to pay out of pocket.
Hi Patricia... great to know... hoping to get a few more 'Oldies' ... and i now live in Belleville but will travel - no problem with that!!
will be in touch!
thanks
Deb
I know this is very old response... but michael kreidstein in scarborough did an amazing job on me.... in 2014 mind you....
hope you had your surgery and are pleased.....
Hey Lexxiblue,
Thank you so much for responding! I really appreciate it because I wanted to talk to someone who has had it done.
I did actually find a surgeon to do it and I am having it done on June 2, but I would really be interested into talking to you about what I should expect per your experience.
Did you just have a panniculectomy or a tummy tuck too? If you just had a panniculectomy - was the skin connected after removal made pretty tight so unless you gain a ton of weight back, there won't be any continued skin hanging?
Do you still have belly button? If you do is it kind of off to the side now?
I was told that I may have "dog ears" after surgery - is that the case with you?
Lastly what was the healing process like? Any issues with skin healing or infections? How long before you were able to go back to a normal life of work, exercise and just general body movement?
I would greatly appreciate all that you are willing to share and anything you would recommend.
Thank you very much.

Hi Patricia... I too used to travel to Tim's in Mississauga to meet with Karen... hopefully we can arrange something
I had surgery (RNY) in 2012 and used to join everyone at the Tim's that Karen usually arranged. I was saddened to see the decline in posts (I've heard many use facebook groups now). I would certainly be interested. I am in west end Toronto and don't mind travelling in the GTA.
