Oooooooo I want to make those bacon twists and bacon shots. My DH would love them and I wouldn't have to make 2 meals.
Going to try to match you by doing 10 miles on the bike. It may end up being 10K, lol.

Good morning :)
We got home Saturday and had a pretty quiet weekend. Just tried to put things back in order and get back into our routines. Today the little nugget has round two of her flu shot. Then we will do a couple errands and get groceries.
QOTD: my favourite room in our house is the main bathroom. We had it totally renovated about 1.5 years ago and it is exactly what I wanted. Before the Reno absolutely everything in the bathroom was broken -- the previous owners had painted the acrylic tub surround (yuck!!) and poorly installed a tile floor attempting to do a broken tile mosaic (it looked horrible). The faucet in the shower didn't work properly so it was either cold or scalding hot. The toilet had flushing issues. The sink was chipped. The drywall on the ceiling had cracks. It was usable but just an unhappy place to be.
Now it has a black and white tiled shower with a deeper tub for soaking. A new vanity with granite countertops. A dual flush toilet. A hotel style shelf and towel bar. And probably my favourite thing is the 12x24 inch grey floor tiles. The walls are painted a soft blue and we have a pretty floral shower curtain.

Good morning Gang!! Another crushing morning at the gym today....I was a little bit slower (like 3 mins) but still did 10 miles on the bike. My weekend was good but not very WLS friendly. Saturday we went to the I Beer and Taco show. It was good....I don't like Craft Beer and that's what it was so I was good that way but TACOS!! Well two things I had weren't really tacos - Bacon Twists and Bacon Shots.....the twists were just bacon drizzled with garlic/parm butter YUMMO and the Shots were bacon wrapped sausage with a dollop of sirracha (sp?) cream cheese. Also delicious. And I had a chicken taco.....
QOTD: I'd have to say the living room....spend most of my time their....but our kitchen is awesome too so I love cooking in there.
2 yrs 11+ mos - soon time for bloodwork
B - egg cup (turkey sausage crumbles, orange pepper, gr onion, cheese - made 1/2 doze for the week)

S - deli turkey, veggie sticks

Have a great day everyone!
Good morning everyone. Hope you all had a good weekend. Mostly I slept this weekend.
Today I'm going to yoga, then coffee with my yoga instructor and then to the gym. I may just spend some time in the sauna after my workout.
QOTD: What is your favourite room in the house? Mine is in the basement. We have a walkout basement with a big picture window. It's where we go when the day is done to enjoy a cozy fire and to watch TV, listen to music, or have a nap with a fur baby on the weekend.

Its been a bit I see since I last posted. I hadn't even realised that it's been that long. Since then l am going to post my update regarding my experience at Wharton and my thoughts on surgery. I originally posted by the look of it in 2017 (which i lost my info so i had to make a new profile) Ever since the last posting I have been to the Toronto location a few times now which in my opinion was a waste. For the past month and a half I've been ill which nobody seems to know why so my husband called them to let them know that and rebook my appointment. Well, it seems that was the worst thing to do because they got snobby about it but didn't give me a new appointment date. When I first went to Wharton I honestly expected a little understanding maybe but thought for sure they'd help me in a professional manner. I filled out the paperwork, was seen by i imagine the educator (or one of many) which after she took my height and my weight I was brought into a room to look at a brief video. I've never met Dr Wharton himself. The educator and some other woman berated me about my weight, at least that's the way it felt then went on to tell me about writing down how much I eat and when. Then she proceeded to tell me about 2 different injections that would allegedly help me to lose weight. My whole appointment was maybe 30 minutes maximum and the only thing really that they done successfully was send me out the door in tears feeling like I was a hopeless slob. I hated it more than anything I've ever experienced. See truthfully I'm not lazy (as they made me feel) I try to walk as much as I can but due to my DDD and Scoliosis I can only go so far before the pain near knocks me down. Im not saying I was like model thin but I was kind of an ok weight as I weighed around 180- 185 lbs prior to having my youngest son. I seemed to gain alot during my pregnancy for some reason and after he was born I just seemed to be gaining more instead of losing. My eating habits I know are not perfect as I rarely eat breakfast (maybe a couple times a month) since I've never really been a breakfast person. I'm not one for eating lunch and I mainly just worry about dinner. But i dont eat continuously or anything. I thought they were like a faster route for me to get surgery but I was wrong. Yes surgery scares me because I was told there is a chance of dying but right now I am desperate. My self esteem is low due to the way I look. Thank goodness though Humber River is coming through so I think I'm going to go with it rather than be "emotionally abused" at Wharton.
I met the surgeon Dr. Penner at TWH today and finally got my surgery date! After 18 months of waiting my surgery was scheduled for April 4th! I was not expecting it to be so soon at all. The surgeon said it's almost a miracle to get that date. I'm happy but shocked. I was mentally prepared for a few more months before surgery but I'm still so ready for this change. I start opti tomorrow already. Wish me luck everyone. Can't wait to be on the other side!!
Thank you! I was told today they are still booking November! I will try calling again in a few weeks.
