I'd call ahead and ask who your scheduled with. You want this appointment to be as positive as possible. I've never seen the same dietitian twice!

Good morning :)

CC, did you find a swim schedule? ;)

Today we are going to Guelph for my four year followup -- my surgiversary is tomorrow. I can't believe it has been four years already.

Side note -- there is one dietitian that I don't like at the clinic... What would you do if you found out you were scheduled with them? She has made me cry in the past... I just realized I could see her today and now I'm dreading going.

QOTD: the little nugget learning to eat is totally cracking me up. Also, she sucks her left thumb but cannot figure out how to get her right thumb in her mouth. Yesterday we went for lunch with friends and she sucked on a piece of celery for about an hour.

Post-op three years and eleven months and 29/30ths lol

Breakfast - protein bar

Snack - rice cake, PB, banana

Lunch - pepperette, cheese stick

Snack - nut bar, maybe something else

Dinner - tbd

Snack - pudding

All water and vits.

Good morning everyone. We had a nice quiet weekend. I did get a lot of meal prep done on the weekend (egg bites, sausages, brisket, kibbeh).

This morning I'm going swimming and then to a yoga class. The rest of the day is boring chores and errands.

QOTD: What makes you smile lately? Besides babies, puppies and kittens which always make me smile, I find myself smiling at a mild sunny day. I'm not the only one. Complete strangers are smiling and talkative.

The eats today at 4 years 7 months post-op are:

B. Coffee........

S. after exercise - egg bite made with sausage and cheese, half of an avocado, fresh salsa

L. Kibbeh (did not make these) with 1/2 cup curried cauliflower rice

S. 1 spicy deviled egg

D. Brisket with gravy, 1 cup broccoli with buttah

Have a great day everyone.

CENTURY CLUB MEMBER at 6 months post-op.

Topic: RE: Approximately how many pounds per week did everyone lose after the surgery?

Same here. I was all over the place.

Don't forget, "only 15 lbs" is a lot of weight. Also, in the month or so after surgery, your body is in shock. It's trying to catch up. It doesn't know what it hit it. There is typically a stall at around 3 weeks and it is quite discouraging if you don't know it's going to happen.

Just remember, this is a marathon not a sprint. And yes, everybody is different. Everybody loses at different rates. What is normal? Normal is what is normal for you. :)

On average, I lost about 3lbs a week, but some weeks I lost 1 and other weeks I lost 5.

I just really tracked my monthly totals.

Hi everyone. I know everyone is different but in your personal experiences, how many pounds per week were you losing? I lost only 15 ponds on Optifast and I'm down another 13 pounds since the day of surgery. Is this normal? Should I be losing more? Please share your experiences. Thanks!

Topic: RE: Protein shakes

I go to the States all the time to get them but there's been a supply problem for about 6 months, I haven't been able to find anything except chocolate and vanilla at Walmart, Sam's club or target...and I bought my Sam's club membership specifically for it. Apparently you can order them online (ship to a post office store) but I haven't tried that yet. The cookies and cream was my favourite!

My boyfriend took me out for lunch to celebrate, we didn't do anything big, but it was still a treat. Because of our kids, we rarely get one on one time like that at a restaurant.

I have plans for things like that in the summer, starting with Wonderland!
