Good morning-ish ;)
I stepped about three feet out my back door this morning to grab the recycling bins and that was enough outside time for me lol. I suppose I may shovel later -- I at least need to de-ice the car so we can go to the doctor's office tomorrow. The little nugget is going for her six month checkup and needles.
Today will be house stuff... I need to clean out the fridge. We tried making hummus but it turned out horribly. Even though we said we would eat it we didn't. I hate wasting food but it is beyond saving.
Post-op three years and eleven months. My four year appointment at Guelph is on March 4th if anyone is going to be there :)
Breakfast - banana and PB
Snack - protein bar
Lunch - chicken and rice
Snack - chili
Dinner - tbd
Snack - pudding
All water and vits.
Please go to ER and make sure it's an ER that knows about Bariatric Surgery.
There are multiple things that could be going on and it may, or may not, be related to Bariatrics, but what you are experiencing is not normal.
Right now you are self diagnosing. You could have a small blockage, a twist in your bowel is a common complication after Gastric Bypass (I had it).
Please go and have it checked and let us know the outcome. Better safe than sorry. You really don't want something bad to happen while on vacation. :)

Ginny I'm so glad you are finally getting your ergonomic desk. It's certainly been a while. Your menu looks really yummy, especially that salad.

Good morning Snow People!!! Someone sure ticked off Momma Nature! I wish they would apologize.
Not too much on the go today. I finally got all my new office equipment as a result of the Ergo Assessment and the lady is coming this afternoon to set everything up at the right height/angles/position etc.
I'm ready for vacation next week. I just hope this weather doesn't stick around so I can at least get my flight out. So many flights cancelled in the last week or so.

I'd call the surgeons office especially since you are going away. You want to be safe! Something is definitely not right.
So here's the thing....
It might be a good thing to defer surgery (not sure they would kick you out) to give you a opportunity to deal with your emotional eating issues. It's really important that you get a grip on that because the surgery is only a tool to help you. It's not going to fix your head.
Post surgery life is difficult. This is not the easy way to lose weight. The challenges remain. Head hunger and emotional eating don't disappear when we have the surgery. The struggle is real and if you truly want to cheat this surgery you can.
No matter what happens today, coming to terms with why you are eating is something you are going to have to deal with in order to be successful in the long term.
Hoping things work out today. :)

I have finished everything pre meeting the surgeon, every one has signed off.
Tomorrow I see the doctor and go from there but I am freaking out.
I've lost 20lbs total since orientation in June.. but my last appointment was before Christmas, I had gained 3lbs.
The dietitian is the one who weighed me and she sternly told me that any more gain and I'd need to re refer when more committed.
I have messed up the past month, hello emotional eating, and off the wagon on my fluid restrictions. (I have heart failure and can lose/gain up to 10lns in a day depending on what I put in my mouth)
I'm up, quite a bit I think. I don't know what I'll do if they boot me. Can anyone offer similar experiences and outcomes? I have to go tomorrow afternoon.
- Hello to all!
- I am new here. I am planning to ask my doctor for a referral next week. I started this journey about 4 years ago, however stopped just before I was scheduled for surgery. Life got busy and we were buying a new house, so the timing just wasn't right. I was suppose to go through the Humber hospital site for the surgery at that time, but now understand that Kingston is doing surgery. Is that correct and can anyone speak to the timeline for surgery in Kingston?
- Happy to meet everyone and start this journey again! I'm tired of being tired!!
