Topic: What are you eating/doing Wednesday?

Good morning :)

It should be a fairly normal day at work but whenever I say that, something crazy happens. Tonight I don't have a training session at the gym but may go just to get an extra workout in since it's looking rainy and I won't be able to get out for my walk.

B - Skyr Protein yogurt

S - boiled egg

L - turkey, cauliflower

S - small apple using SF pudding as a dip

D - chili, melba toast

S - 1/2 protein shake

Topic: RE: Surgeons who will do a Panni covered by OHIP in London area?

panniculectomy is 100% covered by OHIP. It's a lot of paperwork so it sounds to me like your doc doesnt want to do the work for you. I'd get another opinion/doctor if yours wont look into it for you. I work as a nurse in a hospital that provides this service and I have NEVER come across a patient who has paid out of pocket. It is your doctors job to look into finding someone to do this for you, it's not your job to look for him/her. I really hope it all works out for you and you are able to get your surgery

"The CHALLENGES: osteopenia (told wrong calcium to take), always iron deficient and I have reactive hypoglycaemia. All are manageable and a welcome trade off for my normal life."

11 years out here and some of the same challenges. I already had some osteopenia prior to my RNY so really no surprise and I do take the correct calcium. I had to get iron infusions last year and I have fluctuating issues with hypoglycemia which can be scary. I totally agree that the RNY was worth it! If I could go back in time I would do it sooner!

Dawn,

Huge congratulations to you - it's such a treat to read about your success. I also celebrated 13 years in March , but it's become such a "regular" that I actually forgot all about it at the time. Lol

My very best wishes for your certain continued success!

Topic: RE: What are you eating/doing Friday? Happy Thanksgiving!

Good afternoon and happy thanksgiving!!

We went to the grocery store -- all I needed was milk for the little nugget. It was crazy there!! I can't imagine how much worse it will get over the weekend.

I made a veggie chili this week and it came out so yummy. I'm not a cook so I'm always happy when something is good :) we have so many leftovers!!

Tomorrow we are going to my in-laws for dinner. They are slow roasting a chicken/turkey. They raised some chickens this year on the farm.

Post-op four years and seven months.

Breakfast - milk, egg

Snack - oatmeal bar

Lunch - cheese and ham

Snack - tbd

Dinner - leftovers

Snack - nut bar or yogurt

All water and vits.

TGIF menu people

It's a crazy workday so I'm posting while I have a chance. I happen to be a person who loves fall so the cooler day, trees turning colours and even farmers harvesting in the fields makes me thankful! We have a family reunion for our Thanksgiving so it's kind of a potluck. I'm cooking a turkey, a veggie dish and likely a dessert. Since turkey is one of my favorites, I'll have a good helping so that I'm not as tempted by the various desserts.

QOTD: What is your favorite Thanksgiving food and how do you celebrate?

B - protein shake

S - boiled egg

L - chicken skewers, salad

S - sweet potato crackers, roasted red pepper hummus

D - homemade taco's

S - turkey pepperettes

Have a safe and Happy Thanksgiving!
