Past couple of months I've noticed my thick hair becoming thin. Whenever I run my hands through my hair there are always some in my hand and washing it results in a large amount going down the drain. I'm just getting to 10 months post op and hoping it will stop thinning and some new roots will start to grow. Even my hairstylist noticed, so we decided to go with a short bob to help lift and give a fuller look.
I've tried to search about it and see mention Biotin supplements and Castrol oil. I am doing my vitamins and my last blood work looked good. Ideas?
Thanks, Sunny

Hi all,
I'm just at the beginning of the process now. I have already been told that I may need the VSG (due to needing to take anti inflammatories for another condition) instead of the roux en y. I'm just wondering if there are others who have done VSG and what your experience was? It seem like the weight loss is somewhat less but still achievable if you follow the eating plan.

Good morning :)
I've already been up cleaning out our sunroom to get ready for next weekend :) we don't use it much do it tends to be where we put all the extra stuff. This morning we have a doctor's appointment but other than that it will probably be house stuff. I even weeded my back walkway last night -- we had a monster weed that was turning into a tree but I just kept trying to ignore it lol.
QOTD: inside or outside? Do you prefer doing house stuff inside or outside? I'm an inside person for sure. My skin is quite fair and I hate having to plan for being outside -- hat, sunscreen, etc.

My weight loss has started to slow - I know I shouldn't, but I find that I continue to compare with others and feel like I'm slower than most. I try and remind myself everyone is different, and I also feel like (based on my support group discussions) a lot of ppl don't eat enough protein. They are probably losing muscle. I have 90 grams of protein consistently every day. So I try to tell myself that I'm protecting as much of the good stuff as I can, and maybe that's why it's slow.
Because things slowed down, I've also now gotten more active and am seeing if that helps at all to keep me at a 10 pound monthly loss for at least another 3-4 months. My fingers and toes are crossed.

Good morning :)
Nothing planned again today. The little nugget woke up weirdly early -- I'm assuming something maybe outside woke her up. I was able to snuggle her back to sleep for a bit. Mostly household stuff today. Blech. Gotta get this place shipshape -- the little nugget's first birthday is coming up soon :)
I can't remember where I was the other day, but I also stuck to a chair... Darn all that post-op loose skin to peal off slowly lol.
