It was definitely an interesting ride.  BP way up, then way down and there was a time or two it was almost non-existent.

But, I am a happy camper (as happy as one can be 3 days post op).

Oh yes it can be a bumpy ride, glad you made it to the Loser's Bench and now a new kind of ride exists. . .  strap yourself in and let the fun begin. . .  get your fluids and protein in and you will do just great and vitamins too!!!  Looking forward to sharing in your adventure. . .

Today, I get to have some oatmeal.  I am sooo excited (and I mean this sincerely).  The jello was getting old and my dogs ate more of my popsicle than I did.

Barb,

It is an entire new life after WLS.  Quite a learning experience but good.
I am always surprised how each surgeon had different post-op protocol. Mine insists on liquids for much longer. That first taste of oatmeal was heavenly.

Welcome to the Losers Bench Ethel.  You are just beginning the ride of your life.  Not sure what surgery you had, but the words I memorized as a mantra post-op were "Sip, sip, sip.  Walk, walk, walk."
