Hawaii! We were stationed there for 4 years. A beautiful place, and everyone we ever knew came to visit us. But you can only see the Kodak Hula Show so many times. After a while we would just give them the key to our car, and a map!
Center of the US? MANY cross country trips in cars, trucks, RV's, trailers! We have relatives all over. I like the Indian places in the Dakotas, also some in NE and KS. If you are a member of AAA, they can give you all kinds of ideas. There is a funky museum in Minden, NE that has all kinds of stuff, like the first model of typewriter up to the most modern. Same with planes, cars, cameras, washing machines. The restaurant there has fantastic onion rings.
I would love to visit lots of Civil War battlefields. Maybe someday! I've been to the museums in DC, but would like to go back again and spend a lot longer there.
