I'm rapidly approaching 64. I had a vertical thigh lift on July 17th, 2018. It was clear right from the beginning that he did not remove enough skin and I still have hanging skin on my thighs (no fat). I did not spend all of that money to still not be able to wear shorts or shorter skirts than to my knee. It took me ten years to finally bite the bullet and do it because I knew it was going to be an extremely difficult recovery. So I'm pissed off. My surgeon agrees that I have reason to be displeased. He has done all of my plastic surgery and has always made it clear that he will do whatever he has to do to make me happy, on his dime. That is how I believe it should be. When he did my implants in 2012 I had to have it redone 3 times until it was right and never paid a penny after the first surgery. Now, in addition to the problems with the thigh lift, I had a rupture of my left implant. When he replaced it (at the same time as the thigh lift), it was not placed securely and is moving around to the side -- so that has to be fixed as well. I'm pissed off at this as well because this was the problem I had in the first implant surgery back in 2012 and I feel he should have read all of my notes from the first implant surgeries. I can handle fixing the implant, as there is really no pain at all in that area. But the thighs? What an uncomfortable area!!! And the area near the groin has opened up on both sides. A mess!!! I HATE to have to go through this again once I am healthy and healed!!!! I'm wondering if there is a way to pull it up rather than to cut from groin to knee. I can't believe how uncomfortable and painful this is after over 3 weeks.

Hi,
I know that Lima tends to be more economical when considering cosmetic surgery, but with the number of surgeons offering their services, it's hard to find out which surgeon one should consider for cosmetic surgery. I certainly don't want to base my surgeon by price, and most women tend to be mum about who they go to. I've only been given ONE personal recommendation, not leaving me much of anything to work with. I'm not asking anyone to make it public knowledge that they've had some "work" done, but it would be helpful if some direction was given. Any kind of surgery is no light matter, and much serious consideration has been given in this matter by my husband and I. PM me with your thoughts, opinions, personal experience(s), recommendations, referrals, etc. etc. if you do not wish to post, but still wish to share.
Please help.
I didn't find the right solution from the Internet.

Thanks!
I lost 230 pounds. I weighed 188 day of surgery, and had 12.2 pounds of skin removed. The less fat in the excess skin you carry, the less it will weigh.

Anyone have any experience or information on this surgeon? I think I'll probably go to Dr Sauceda, but one of the Medico people keep telling me this surgeon is the best in Mexico... I have my doubts, but I thought I would at least ask.
Good for you!! That must have helped your mobility a lot. How long ago was your surgery?

Dr Obaid in Southlake.... After maintaining 100+ lb weight loss for quite a few years thanks to my WLS, I finally got what was left over (and wouldn't budge) removed. The recovery was really hard... if you had major weight loss your surgery is probably going to be pretty extreme and will take some time to feel better... but I'm so glad/grateful. For the 1st time EVER in my life, my tummy is flat. Love it!
