My complications didn't start until 2 weeks post-op starting with pneumonia, then wound dehiscence week 2.5 - week 4 with treatment still ongoing (week 11), then a pulmonary embolism at 7.5 weeks. Just an example to show you're not necessarily out of the woods at 7-10 days!

Topic: RE: Mexico Plastic Surgery Questions

Hi Jaz,

I'm not sure. Those questions need to be answered by Dr Sauceda. [email protected]

I know I had a breast lift, lower body lift, sm thigh and my arms on a Thur and a full facelift on Monday. I went by myself and did fine. I was also 59. I took powdered protein shakes and bars with me, but mostly ate the clinic food then at the hotel. Breakfast has eggs, waffles, fruit, beans, cereal. Not the continenal you get at most places. Enough for breakfast and snack later plus. I ate at the little mall right behind the hotel, Applebees, or the Italian place. There is also a food court at the HEB which is on the end of the mall.

The price goes down as you combine procedures. The LBL - $7200, breast lift 4500, w/aug 5500. Everyone prices are going to be different depending on your body and what needs to be done. Think about the price of a new Prius and start saving.

After I lost all of my weight, I had to buy bras in a 38 G and alter them to fit the band because that was too big but they don't make 34 Gs. My surgeon told me that I'll be an A cup after reduction/lift. I BEGGED him to try to keep them as big as possible, thinking that if I HAD to, I'd get implants some time later since insurance won't cover that part. Right out of surgery, I was sad because they were small but now I'm 8 months out and they look GREAT! I wear normal bras with a little bit of stiffness and I fill them. I'm still wearing a D cup!

Also, I might add, it looked worse at the beginning because I had two skin flaps on my belly that looked like pool floaties that were bigger than my boobs. I just got those taken off 8 weeks ago (insurance paid) so I'm all good now!

I will get my arms done some time next year because that is self pay. My insurance will pay for thighs but I won't get them done. He said it's very painful and I don't plan on ever wearing a bikini and they're not that bad.

I hope this helps!

My mons area is completely sideways and I had two belly flaps and only the bottom one was completely removed. He is going to make a vertical incision and pull the top to the center to get rid of the upper one. It won't be anywhere nearly as invasive as the belt lipectomy.

He said the mons is easily fixed but right now, it's still swollen, tender and numb. I hate to even touch it!

Good! I'm glad you feel better. I have to have a revision so I'm thinking I won't feel right for a LONG time. I made the appointment yesterday and I put it off to November. I've already lost the whole first half of the summer, I don't want to lose the rest. I'll do it in the winter.

After awhile it would come and go... of course you don't think about it when it is gone... So just realized. Wow. It is gone.

Any recommendations for surgeons in British Columbia, Canada?

I have lost 140lbs from having a gastric sleeve, and now am dealing with skin issues.

I am trying to get quotes for Panniculectomy (tummy tuck), arms, legs and breasts.

Also trying to research is these procedures are tax deductible.

Any tips would be helpful. I have looked into Mexico as an option , as the prices are 1/2 but am a little scared.

thanks in advance.
