I lost 105 pounds. At age 62, I had a TT and facelift. My arms, thighs and butt are a little saggy but my butt hides under my bathing suit and clothing. The pain and scarring on my arms and thighs probably outweigh the benefits for me (per my PS, backed up by my research). Anyway, the point is that the results were great even at my age. I NEVER in my entire life had a flat tummy. My jowls and chicken neck are gone. Here are some before/after pics.

I didn't wear underwear for a while - the compression garments I had were crotchless, but covered so much that it seemed unnecessary. When I did start wearing undies again, I'd wear boyshorts over the compression garment. Like a superhero. :)

My taste in undies has changed a lot since reconstructive surgery - I still don't really know what type I prefer.

I am having PS with Dr. Douglas Forman who is in North Bethesda-Rockville, MD and does surgery out of Sibley Hospital in NW DC. He is well reviewed on OH and RealSelf and after several consults, I am very happy with him.

Dr. Joseph Michaels, who also works out of Sibley, is well liked on this site and does alot of body contouring with WLS patients.

I suggest looking here on OH and on RealSelf.com then make appointments to talk to a number of PS.

As for cost, going to an experienced PS who has done body contouring with patients who have lost massive amounts of weight will definitely cost more than going to a generalist. Shop around and remember that it just might cost more than you plan to get the results that you want.

I am new and very curious as I almost had a heart attack after my first PS consult. Just the TT and lower abdomin up through and including chest without arms and legs was quoted at $37k. I have family in a Frederick MD but live on east coast of central FL? Love some help. Lost 138# total 130 last year.
