Thank you. As someone who's been on OH for a while, do you think having PS helps with long term weight maintenance?
Insurance covered nothing for me and each of my procedures averaged about $7-8000 all total. The LBL counted as two procedures in terms of pricing.
That said, it varies significantly by area and surgeon.

What did your PS cost if insurance didn't cover it? I used the search function but didn't see any recent threads on this. I'm especially interested in the cost of LBL, TT, and BL. Thank you!
I had major hernia surgery when I woke up my belly button was gone he said he told me there was a possibility this could happen but I don't remember
I also had auto-augmentation and was able to sit fine, but even at 4 weeks out my butt hurts if I sit more than 1-2 hours.
I had fat transfer to my breasts and they told me that I couldn't lay on them in bed for 3-4 weeks post surgery, to assure the most fat 'lived'. I've heard when they fat transfer to your butt, they give you a special seat cushion.

I had the auto-augmentation (where they fold the flap of tissue down to enhance the butt). I had no issues sleeping on my back or sitting down while I was recovering.

I am considering a 360 lower body lift with butt help/implants or fat transfer. My question is to those that have had this surgery. How in heavens creation did you sit/lay/recline if your not suppose to be on your butt after surgery and you have stitches all around your body and drains. How do you position yourself to rest?
I had surgery very quickly after my WLS - I was only 13 months out. Many people would disagree with my decision but I was at goal for 6 months and I had a potential (now reality) major life change coming that would throw a wrench in my ability to have the surgery in the following couple of years. For me, it was something that was really important for my self-confidence and also for my ability to work out comfortably. I think it was an easy decision for me because I went into WLS knowing I would get PS.

As long as your weight is stable I would suggest seeing a plastic surgeon who works with WLS patients. Not sure what you are looking for but the ps will let you know what they can offer.
(I'll reply to your message soon.)
For me, I knew it was time because of scheduling. I'm not at my final, ultimate goal, but I'm close enough that I was willing to take the risk. But doing it all in the second half of 2017 is what made the most sense for my life due to my college schedule and desire to get working in my field.
