Breasts really are the easiest of all the surgeries to recover from. Hope they are not charging you too much to upgrade the implants....

Topic: RE: Work after LBL?

I know DCgirl started working from home the first week after surgery, but that is different than sitting at a desk. While that sounds easy, it's the sitting part that would be hard.

I remember waking up 2 weeks after surgery on a monday and feeling a new level of energy, I had turned a corner. I was scheduled to fly cross country that Friday for my nephew's wedding and I was like "I can do this" In 20/20 hindsight that was crazy. Hahaha, and it set me back...but I did it and was utterly exhausted. If you are having surgery on Monday maybe go for 2 1/2 weeks and have a short week? Like go back on Wednesday or Thursday...that way you can ease into it and see how you do.

Topic: RE: Lower body lift complications

Pain, can be nerves reattaching and because of muscle tightening. It really can continue on and off for a long time. I would be less concerned about that thean the would openings.

I had ones from my thigh lift that needed to heal 'from the inside out' Doc had me putting medicinal honey on them and a light bandage depending on where they were.... I also used silicone scar tape over certain suture lines than needed healing or protection from irritation- not for the scar issue but for healing. It is cheap on Amazon and you can wash and reuse it. Might help.

Just take it easy. Thigh lifts are the worst. Had two. Spiral and medial. Gravity also adds to the pain. Get high toilet seat if you don't already have one. Rest rest rest. I thought that TT was the worst but nope it was the thighs.

Don't get constipated and take your pain meds

Perhaps a padded toilet seat cover would help?

Still having aot of pain. Left leg hurts more than right. Not able to walk with a normal gait. Still hurts to sit on the toilet. I keep thinking it will get better soon, but it does not seem like it has. I have a follow up appointment in 3 days. I don't understand who the back of my left leg hurt when anything touches it. Incision sites look good.

Thank you! I didn't even bother trying to get insurance coverage even though my PS thought my eyelids might be covered. I have a high deductible and my surgeon gave me a substantial discount on the whole thing since he had done my previous surgery and I was a pretty easy patient.

Topic: RE: Dr Cardena

I had my lower body lift with her in November and am completely in awe of her work. I am actually going back to her this summer for my second set of procedures. Her whole team is great and I really appreciated their emphasis on pain control and healing at their recovery house. The whole business is top notch.

Topic: Royal lower body lift with Dr Carmina Cardenas in Mexico

Hello everyone!

November 14th I went to Baja and had a lower body lift with Dr Carmina Cardenas and her wonderfully talented team. I had gastric bypass over a year ago and found that I had so much excess skin. The new clothes I was buying for my tinier frame just didn't look right. After an exhaustive amount of research I chose Dr Cardenas because I really liked the results she gave her patients. She was also wonderfully sweet and honest. She and her team were never pushy and were extremely supportive. I stayed in the beauty care recovery house for a week and it was the best decision I could have ever made. I really needed that time to start the healing process and to have good pain management with the help of nurses and the doctor 24/7. I am I guess about seven weeks out now and am still puffy but am seeing such dramatic results. I still can't believe this is my new body. Only one of my pics would post but if anyone is interested I have others and would be most happy to answer any questions
