It goes a little further around and my surgeon doesn't do the Fleur, he uses lipo and his own technique to get the same results without the extra scaring. Also my recliner is a standard manual recliner.

Extended Tummy Tuck... how does that differ from a standard? Do the scars go further around your hips? Different from a Fleur-de-Lis?

Was your recliner an electronic/motorized or the standard, pull the lever and push down with your legs?

I had an extended TT and my arms done! I'm home and doing great! I have to sleep in a recliner but other than that I'm cooking, cleaning, plus playing with my dogs. I do nap a bit but I feel great! Going back to work on Monday.

Topic: RE: At what point in my weight loss should I begin exploring plastic surgery?

I have been to several PS consultations and every one of them is a little different. some completely marked me up, no emotion, "cut you here, here, yadda-yadda, here's the price, if you book now, you will get a discount"... and the ones I really connected with really listened to what my needs were, gave me realistic goals to set for and provided me with a quote. For me, the discount mentioned "if I book right now" lessened the surgeon on my tier of preferred pros. regardless if they had amazing work. I didn't want someone to push me to make a decision based on money/fear. And another thing... there were surgeons who would talk to my husband instead of me... pissed me off.

This is not a decision that is to be made lightly. The one I ended up going with is extremely skilled and I happen to know some of his patients and he was not "cheap" either, he was reasonable. He made me feel comfortable in the room, realistic expectations and asked me what I expected to come from the process. My husband really liked him too. I may have to do multiple procedures, but at least my #1's are getting handled.

How ya doin'? Hopefully, the pain has lessened? If you posted somewhere else, sorry... Do you mind if I ask you what procedure(s) you had done?

Thanks! I make my appointment next Wednesday... I'm still healing for my extended TT and arms.

I would, since my excess skin was problematic for me. I would not have asked my surgeon to extend to my calves, but I'm very happy with the results.
