Has anyone had approval from your insurance company to have skin removal surgery on your arms?
If so how? What do u have to say to convince them it's more than cosmetic? I am also a fitness instructor and I'm forced to wear long sleeves however it still shakes bad and my students don't want to see that. And my skin issues has cost me some jobs becuz I dont look the part.
Please help. I can never afford to have them done.
Thx
So you are 70 now? I would definitely do it if I were you, but you will need to check with plastic surgeons in your area to see if your age is a factor for them.

Weight loss surgery gave me back my health, plastic surgery gave me back my self-esteem.
You will be so glad you did it.

I agree with what someone said about age not being a factor in plastic surgery..Ive seen many people on TV who are older get plastic surgery. The biggest reason why people seem to be denied a surgery is because they have had too many done.

I am 65 and absolutely intend to have the full Monte of plastics! From what I understand, as long as you are healthy, your age isn't too much of an issue.
I had my VSG in 2015..never got down below 172 which I think my body although on the short side is comfortable at. I was 65 yo at the time. What would be the chances of some plastics at my age? I have a terrible "apron" that gets rashes and smelly under belly and breasts...have those flaps that keep waving bye in upper arms.. At my age, the elastin and collagen are depleted and I know that the skin won't bounce back on its own.. Health is pretty good so that wouldn't be a negative factor. Any suggestions other than shapewear??

Someone very kind messaged me and gave a referral to a surgeon who is not just close but specializes in WLS patients. I have an appointment with him next month. It was the soonest they could get me in...

I was worried too and glad that you do not have a hernia.

Real life begins where your comfort zone ends
I spoke to my PS today and he said that the spasms aren't due to overtraining and I can train without concern. He also checked that I don't have a hernia. Apparently the spasming portion of the muscle is just tighter. I guess I won't worry at the moment.

Sometimes the muscle cramps so bad that it sticks out from my abdomen. Looks a little like a fetus foot kicking out from a pregnant mom's belly!
