• Are there any types of "go fund me" fundraiser page's specifically for post weightloss surgery patients needing to get skin removed? I'm not even talking implants or that type of procedide, but thigh lifts,. Tummy tucks/panniculecyomys.etc.
• I'd like to start a go fund me, but preferably not be laughed at in the process. I've spend the last 11 years losing weight, exercising and keeping it off but exercise isn't going to shrink skin and I believe a surgery for me would cost between $15,000-$20,000!!! I'm 32yr old and we're a 1 income family with 2 beautiful babies (ain't no mama got that kinda cash laying around...) I'm terrified that I'm going to be trapped in this "skin suit" for the rest of my life. I want to be able to run and play with my kids! I don't want these years to pass be my because I can't afford the surgery.

If you feel like your surgeon is not doing enough, find a wound specialist in your area. Search the group to find other people who have had similar experiences.

I had Hernia and abdominal skin removal Early February and I'm still not healed. I had infection where he tried to make me a belly button and along the horizontal incision and closing these wounds is taking so long. Doctor says it's from doing to much but I can't sit still. Has anyone else take a long time to heal after abdominal skin removal it is getting very frustrating considering Summer is almost here and I won't be able to use the pool with open wounds.

I had mine in Chicago (three hours away from me). And yes - I had to return once for complications. They're not common - but they happen. So just make sure there's someone on this end who's willing to treat them.

that's going to depend on the surgeon. Be sure to do your homework if you're going to travel abroad for surgery. Also, make sure your PCP or some other doctor here will deal with any complications, should they come up. You don't want to have to fly back to Poland for that...
