Topic: RE: Protein ball recipe issue...
I found this on OH. Try this recipe:
CHEESECAKE PROTEIN BALL RECIPE©
OKAY!
Instead of PB, use Cream Cheese!!!! Instead of Cocao Powder, use chopped almonds or macadamia nuts! Add some vanilla extract for a yummy taste!!!
Want more of a cheesecake consistency?!?!??! ADD one EGG, 1 tablespoon of flour with pure vanilla extract... Bake at 350 for about 10-12 minutes.. COOL and ENJOY!!! Want a little bit of fruit with it?!?!?!
ADD 1/4 tablespoon of 100% Real Fruit jam (I love the blackberry 100% preserves...What a heavenly treat...curbs the sweet craving AND is good for you!!
Each 1" protein ball has about 10 grams of protein (give or take a gram if you use more or less of the PB or Cream Cheese)... and if you use 100% complex carbohydrate cereal such as Rice Crispies or Granola, it can bump up the protein AND fiber!!!
When I make these (I still do at 5 years post!!), I have to tell my kids to STAY AWAY FROM EM! LOL
Hope this helps!! Just eating 4 a day can easily at 40 grams of protein!! Add this with some lean turkey or tuna and you will easily surpass your daily requirement!!

Topic: RE: Got lots of pears... anyone have any suggestions?
It's reduced to about half...so about 1 1/2 cups.
A can of pears would be approx two large fresh pears, I'm guessing! And they aren't as "liquidy" as canned, so it might not take as long to get them reduced that far. Basically cook down until it's as thick as you'd like it!
With so many fresh you could experiment with different flavors...I'm so jealous! Plain vanilla bean, cinnamon, or add a sf Torani/Davinci syrup like caramel or butter rum...endless possibilitites!!

Mmm! Sounds delicious!
How much does it end up making after it reduces? I can make bunches and freeze, I'm betting!

I have a Pear Butter that is super yummy in Greek yogurt, on low-carb pancakes, stirred into ricotta, or on an occasional piece of toast. It freezes great...wouldn't use a LOT of pears, but some!

Topic: RE: what to do with Banana"s
I peel and quarter the bananas , stick on a wax-paper lined baking sheet and freeze solid - they don't have to be covered. Then put them in ziploc bags and they will be perfect for shakes or anything else you need them for.
(I don't like them any riper than yellow with a few brown spots\ for shakes or "ice cream". If they are more ripe they are watery in those recipes. The SUPER ripe ones stick around in the freezer for banana bread or cake!)
I also have several cheesecake recipes on my blog. Look on the right hand side under Recipies and there is a section there. Hope you find something you love!!

I make a cookie with mine... 3 mashed bananas, let them soak in with 2 cups of quick rise oats (5mins), 2 tbs peanut buter, fresh blueberries, 1/4 skim milk, (i sometimes put a few chocolate chips (dark) - it makes about 20 - bake 350 for 35 mins. I luv em!

Topic: RE: perfect portion size
I just used it condensed..the water that will actually come out of the squash as it bakes helps with thinning out the soup
Topic: RE: perfect portion size
Sounds delicious! Did you use condensed tomato soup or was it made with water/milk?
