Topic: Teddi?s Hummus Recipe
have been wanting to try a hummus recipe that didn't taste like just salt like alot of the store bought ones. I researched different recipes and after trying some of them I have my own now that I really like.

Teddi’s Hummus

Ingredients
2 – 16oz cans of Chickpeas, drained
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoons kosher salt
1/2 cup lemon juice
1/3 cup water
1/2 cup tahini, stirred well
1/4 cup extra-virgin olive oil, plus extra for serving

Directions: Place the chickpeas, garlic, and kosher salt in the bowl of a food processor. Process for 15 to 20 seconds. Stop, scrape down the sides of the bowl, and process for another 15 to 20 seconds. Add the lemon juice and water. Process for 20 seconds. Add the tahini. Process for 20 seconds, and then scrape down the sides of the bowl. With the processor running, drizzle in the olive oil. To serve, garnish with extra minced garlic, to taste, if desired.

Makes 32 - two tablespoon servings.

I have seen it on this website before, but it's a really good source of protein and oh so tasty...

2  small cans of mandarin oranges (or 1 large can)
1  small box sugar free jello orange flavored
1  8 oz container of low fat cottage cheese
1  container of fat free cool whip thawed

In a small saucepan heat the oranges to a near boil, remove from heat and add the jello..stir until completely dissolved...

In a medium sized bowl, add the cottage cheese and cool whip, afer the fruit mixture cools slightly, add it to the cottage cheese mixture and mix well.  Mixture will be very runny but will firm up and set in the fridge.  Refrigerate  for at least two hrs.   Enjoy.

I make this with several different jello/fruit combinations but this one is my absolute favorite

 Hey, Patty...

I've got lots of different types of recipes on my blog - I'm sure you'll find SOMETHING!!  I do use a lot of eggs and cottage cheese - I eat mostly vegetarian, but my husband is the carnivorous post-op!

Topic: Help picky eater
Hi everyone. I needs some help trying to figure out good healthy things to eat. I am a very picky eater. I am not real big on vegetables and I can't handle anything spicy. I also don't like yogurt. I have tried so many different kinds and still don't like. Which is weird since I like cottage cheese, sour cream and most other dairys. So it really narrows downs what I can eat. If anyone can help me with some good recipes I would really appreciate it.

I have to be really careful with things like this.  First, the sugar alcohol bothers me  (gas) and secondly, they 're really good, too good! I made the SF brownies with apple sauce.  I added some walnuts and even a few tablespoons of SF chocolate chips.  I served them as dessert after a small dinner party.  They were rich and incredibly tasty, no one even knew they were SF.

I take 1/2 cup milk, 1 packet starbucks via decaf coffee and ho****er and mix it all together, then I add 1 scoop unjury chocolate protein (the only protein powder I like) - the only issue is being careful not to make it too hot or the whey protein will curdle.

I have it every morning.

This is one of my favorites...and now that it MAY be getting warmer outside (from my keyboard to God's ears!) a tall frosty goodie is perfect.

1 cup water
1 scoop chocolate protein powder of your choice
2 teaspoons chocolate sugar free instant pudding powder
2 Tablespoons sugar free raspberry syrup (Davinci/Torani)- or to taste
1 teaspoon instant coffee crystals
3-4 ice cubes

Pulse in a blender or food processor until smooth.
