Mmm, I want some chocolate chip cookies now LOL :)
You can always take the original Tollhouse Cookie recipe and make it WLS friendly!
Use Splenda instead of sugar; Splenda Brown Sugar blend instead of brown sugar; whole wheat flour instead of regular flour and egg beaters instead of eggs. The only fat will be in the butter (not sure what you could substitute for butter. Too bad it didnt call for oil, then you could of done applesauce instead of oil)
I would also recommend to add in a scoop of either vanilla or unflavored protein powder to throw some protein into the cookies. The sugar free chocolate chips are a great idea too!
Here is the orignal recipe:

That sounds yummy I have one too. I know it's got more carbs but it's amazing. Even non WLS patients LOVE it.
1 8oz cream cheese
1 cup sour cream
12 oz Cool whip
2 tsps vanilla flavor
Mix all ingredients( in mixer) and smooth into optional crust then top with fresh fruit or NSA pie filling ( I love the cherry) then pop in the fridge overnight.
I have more than a few people request these at dinners and they aren't diabetic or WLS patients...they are that yummy!!!
Enjoy!!!

Topic: Christmas cookies??
I have always been the cookie baker. I am looking for some Bariatric friendly cookie recipes. I have a good one for peanut butter cookies but would like some others. Choclate chip?? I have SF Choclate chips. Any Ideas help. I am just trying to avoid temptation as I bake everyone else's cookies.

Tell your mom welcome! She'll find loads of terrific recipes here. Teach her how to copy and paste and set up an OH recipe file for her to use in her email account. I still find many recipes to use at this site and keep them all in an email file.

Topic: Hello and thanks for this good group
I am posting for my mom as she is learning about the internet and message boards. I used to date someone who had had bariatric surgery and she talked extensively to Mom about the surgery and told us about this site. Now Mom has had weight loss surgery but she is unable to get out of the house to attend support group meetings and I have been encouraging her to use the interent to find support. I have had her look at all of the available forums and groups and have posted introductions on the ones she has chosen and this was one of them. It might be just the hook to draw her in! Thank you for having a recipe forum and I hope mom will soon be posting on her own.

Ok so do you only use the 1/4 cup boiling water to make the gelatin?
