Staples coming out tomorrow!!

1 week post op tomorrow and I feel pretty good. Intake has been great and pain has been pretty minimal.

I've never had staples before, do they hurt coming out??

The drain didn't bother me, it actually tickled as it came out (I was amazed on how long it was).

Should I take some pain med before my appt? or wait and see how I feel?

I had mine at 2 weeks and they did not hurt coming out they had put something on mine and then pulled them out with some kind of sissor looking thing

It's not bad.  Sometimes they may pinch a bit.  I've never known anyone who's needed pain med for that.  Glad to hear you're progressing so well!

They don't hurt coming out.  I had mine out at 3 weeks post op and it was fine.  I did take a pain killer prior though, not because of the staples but because I was still on pain killers for the surgery and it was time to take one especially since I was going for a car ride with lots of pot holes.

Now the drains I didn't like.
