Just Dance 2...I'm in pathetic shape

I just tried Wii Just Dance 2, I got 5 minutes into it and thought I would probably die...ok not die, but something dire.  I'm in terrible shape.  I've been thinking about doing a zumba class, but this says to me, probably not yet.  Then again, maybe I'm just to old for the dance routines.  I'm nearly 58, maybe I should stick to recumbent bikes and treadmills.

You are never too old to dance.  We do Just Dance 2 at christmas parties sometimes in my family .  If you enjoy it then work up to more dance routines and it won't feel like exercise.  Dr Laura Berman (the sex doctor) on Oprah radio talks about doing just dance 2 with her kids.

The name says it all............... "JUST DANCE"  You don't even need a reason. Just dance.
That is exercise!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Might as well have fun on your way to '" where you are going" !
 

Matter of fact;  Dance as if noones watching.....................................

I love your attitude, it is just discouraging to be winded and tired after five minutes, but I guess it will never be 6 minutes if I don't keep trying.

I am 53 and started a routine that I thought would kill me (even though it was a super beginner level)....

But now (three months later), it is so much easier and was sooooo worth it in terms of how I feel.

I am 56 and have trouble walking due to knee and hip problems,,but i used to love to dance,,and since i started this journey i found i can dance my ass off in a chair, and it still brings my cardio up,

my surgery is on the 16th of this month, i am hoping that as i get lighter it will be easier to stand and then i can really get into it,, :)

 When I started exercising after surgery, I could barely do 5 minutes on my elliptical or walk 1/4 mile with pain.  I'm now training for my 4th half marathon (13.1 miles, I walk/jog them), ran a 5K, walk/ran a 12K, take tap dance/zumba (combo class) once a week, and do 4-7 miles at a time on my elliptical.  I'm turning 51 this summer.  If I can do it girl, you can!  Just take it once day at a time and each time you will do a little bit more.

When thing start getting too tough...just go back to a step touch to the beat...just as long as your moving, then you are good.

If you want to try Zumba, try to find either an Aqua Zumba or a Zumba Gold class.  These are designed to be a little slower and easier on the joints.

Just Dance is a GREAT game...and Just Dance 3 is coming out in October!  Keep your booty movin and Dance Dance Dance!!!!
