when to drink

When did your Dr. Nut tell you it's ok to drink after eating? My Nut says 1 hour after finishing meal, hospital ( just had my Gallbladder out 1 week ago today) says 30 minutes, Dr says 1 hour after beginning of meal???? I am 6 weeks out and not even sure how much to eat. Nut says 2 ozs. of protein and thats all she says, shouldn't I be eating vegetables too?

Every dr. is different. I was told 30 minutes before and 30 minutes after . I was told I could have 1 oz of protein and 1 oz of either fruit or vegetable. I try to concentrate more on protein to make sure I get enough in each day.

You should add vegetables to your diet, but focus on protein first.

I stop drinking 15min before eating. I don't drink again until 30 min after.

I was told 30 minutes. If you wait an hour, and are eating more than 3 times per day, you will likely have trouble getting in enough water.... but at 6 weeks out you should already konw if that's a problem or not.
