I've been waking up several times a night in a cold pool of sweat. I never did this before surgery. Could it be related?

I had it Christmas eve. I changed pajamas 2 times. Ive had it happen pre-op too though.

That happened to me three times. I wonder if I had an infection going on but it wasn't common pre-op and hasn't happened lately. Hope somebody has an answer.

Could it be hormone changes? I hear people frequently comment that estrogen is stored in fat cells, and apparently if you drop weight fast enough, it affects people.

Just a theory.

Unfortunately I have had alot of surgeries and I always get the night sweats after a them. I am not sure why but every surgery brings on the night sweats for a few days. Maybe the anesthia?

OH haha I didnt notice that. Sorry. I would guess it would have something to do with the hormone release from the fat cells.. any veteran advice on this one?

It is almost certainly from the post-op hormonal changes.  It is fairly common, although not everyone gets them.

Could be hormones but could also be some vitamin deficiencies.  Is your iron and B6 good?

Could be hormonal.  How else do you feel when it happens?

If I eat a meal higher in carbs before bed, or snack on somethink like popcorn late in the day I'll wake up in a literal pool of sweat.  It will be running rivers off of my body.  I'm also cold, clammy, shaky and disoriented.  It's a low blood sugar thing.  Could yours be blood sugar related?
