need advice yeast infection in mouth

and the medicine ismaking me very ill. it is the swish and swallow stuff and the first dose in the morning I can get down but it is downhill the rest of the day. I gag and dry heave after every dose, and everthing tastes horrible. I am not getting in my protien or liquid and my vitamins are hit and miss. Seems like once the dry heaving starts everything makes me gag, takes a few hours for my stomach to calm down, all I can get down are ice chips. I am at the end of my 7 day medicne and the infection is still here, I have another refill I can call in but I don't think I can last another week of this. Any suggestions to get rid of the taste and the infection??

Call your doctor. There are other anti-yeast medications, like Diflucan, that might be better tolerated.

 I had  it too and was told not to swallow...I took nystatin 3 to 4x a day for ten days....it eventually went away...good luck!!

I didn't even know it was possible to get a yeast infection in your mouth. How in the world did you get that?!

 taking antibiotics before surgery :(

 Its thrush...like what babies get...from the antibiotics in the hospital plus it didn't help that my mouth was so dry from surgery.

i don't think you are suppose to swallow that stuff. I recently had thrush and it says to swish in your mouth and gargle 1 tsp after meals and SPIT!!!!!   I just got my bottle out and have it in front of me. I got something similar to thrush after throwing up  and having ulcers. i got ulcers in my mouth.

 My bottle says swish and swallow , either way the tastes sets me off now.

 I would call and see if there was something else they can give you for it.
