Surgeon just called!!!
Well not him one of his peeps! They said my Dr didn't send over the March medical visit to them so they requested it yesterday. They have Jan Feb April. So she said once she gets that 72hrs to 7 days for BCBS Federal to approve me and I will meet with the surgeon the 14-18 for a final results visit. What the heck I haven't lost weight just 2 lbs but my body shape has changed will he say no because I haven't lost weight?
She said yes since he is going away most of June he has 2 other partners that I could have it fairly soon if he is available.
I am so excited not scared yet just excited. Please say a prayer my Dr gets that document over to the surgeon today and that I can hear this week or early next week that I am APPROVED!

OMG I hope your doctor's office sends the info over ASAP! You'll be having surgery before you know it!
As far as the not losing weight goes, my surgeon had us do a 2 week liquid diet but we weren't expected to lose a certain amount of weight. He couldn't care less what we lost as long as we shrunk our livers.

I actually thought you were post-op so I was worried it was bad. :(
I am completely OCD and don't like to leave things in others control, so I would call or stop by the PCP's office to follow up on the records request. Just to give them an extra nudge.
My PCP's office has a referral coordinator and they sat on my referral for 3 wks, even with me calling once a week & calling my ins comp. Grrr ... (They didn't know which surgeon to refer me to & I had to tell them which out of network surgeon would take my ins. Grr ... Just let me have the computer and I'll do it myself lol. )
I'm glad things are working out well for you. Sounds like you have rounded a corner and things will start rolling fast from here on out. Yay!

Most of the time the insurance company wants to see if you are willing to go through what is required to have surgery. Most people would give up and that is what they want. You have kept with it and eventhough you lost two lbs, sounds like you have lost a lot of inches. You should be fine. I'm praying that all be well. I'm excited for you! Will be waiting for you to say you are approved.
