I was on the last day of my period when I went for my surgery last Tuesday.  I just told the nurse prepping me and she got me a pad.  I was nervous about it but it was truly no big deal at all.

Nah, not a problem at all.  If you are on it before Thursday, just let them know when they get you in the back and are prepping you for surgery, and the nurses will help you out.  A lot of people start their period right after their surgery anyway, so it is to be expected.

I'm on Depo shots so I only get mine maybe once every 4-6 months, but when I had my surgery, I started spotting a few days after and it lasted for 4 weeks and I have had nothing since.

Hope this helps!

Mine came back a few hours after surgery, and I had a catheter, too. It was not the most exciting thing, but thankfully, the nurses were awesome about helping me change pads and cleaning up.

I had a catheter as well and it wasn't an issue.  Mine only lasted that one last day though, thank goodness!
