Addicted to V8 (Low Sodium)

I dont know if its because I just dont have room for vegetables or what but lately I am addicted to V8. I know your drinks should be zero calories but once or twice a day I drink one. As a fat person I did eat vegetables believe it or not. Hopefully this will curb my craving for salads and veggies for now.

That sounds tasty- but I would worry about the acidity in the juice. Does it go down well, do you get heartburn from it at all? I am now craving one- and stuck at work kiss

MMM... sounds yummy to me. How many calories does it have? My NUT said to try to keep it under 20 calories, but sometimes I have milk, which is 90 calories, but I figure its healthy.

70 Calories per 12 Fl. Oz.

So far no heartburn or anything. I havent had any issues drinking it.

Early post-op, V8 was one of the accepted "foods" for my plan, because of it's vegetable content.  I wasn't supposed to just drink it like water, but could have half a cup per day (4 oz)...I used to LOVE V8, but it tasted funny to me post-op, so I haven't tried any recently...I might have to try again!

I drank V-8 when I was early post op. I didn't over due it but once in a while a small low sodium can would hit the spot. I didn't have a trouble with it at all.

It will hurt. It will take time. It will require dedication. It will require willpower. It requires sacrifice. There will be temptation. But, I promise you, when you reach your goal, it's WORTH IT! (Author Unknown). I feel this sums up my ongoing journey to a healthier me!

It was on my plan early out, and I took advantage of it. It was a nice break from the sweet protein shakes. I do drink them still, but I was encouraged to use the regular one because I wasn't eating much food with salt.

I still have the little cans - I heat it up and drink it like soup.

I drank a V8 juice pretty early post op and i especially found it helped me get the pills and vitamins down- I had no problems with it and my Nut said in small amounts 6-8 ounces over an hour or two it was fine- somehow it made them slide down better lol  Had forgotten about it but think i will put a can in the fridge and try it again -
