Pineapple
I am 3 weeks out and heard somewhere that we RNY'ers cannot tolerate pineapple. I love pineapple and don't want to give it up. Any info about this?
I don't think there are any foods that all RNY folks cannot tolerate. Most of us tolerate most foods just fine. I do OK with all fruits, including pineapple.

I eat pineapple almost every day. However, I think you are looking at trying it months from now. So early out you need to focus on protein. I would delay the fruit for several months. You should eat what it takes to maximize weight loss up front.
I can eat pretty much eat anything in moderation now, but that took time and patience. I do occasionally dump on sugar but can usually to tolerated with no problem.

I am one of those few folks who can't tolerate pineapple. No matter how much I chew it, each time I've tried it I've gotten the foamies and threw it up. Most people don't have an issue with it, but I'm one of the few who do. You probably won't have a problem with it.
I can eat dried pineapple but not fresh. Everytime I eat fresh pineapple, I end up with foamies and then hours of throwing up until each every single little thread of pineapple fiber that I somehow did not chew suffiently comes up. Its almost like they regenerate in the pouch. lol. So, no, after two times of that I no longer have the desire to even ever ever try that again.
