Posted this to the Exercise & Fitness forum but I just gotta brag on the RNY forum too..... I just got home from my longest run to date with our marathon training group. Believe it or not, I actually feel great! Granted, I've got compression socks on, feet up, and icing my legs, with a session with the foam roller planned today..... But I finished 20 miles!!!! My running buddy even said she felt like she really could do 6 more miles (which we will in October!) so I'm starting to gain a lot of confidence that I'm gonna be able to do my first marathon! 27 months post RNY - - it's been a hard road but ALL worth it!!

You are my hero! I can't run cuz of knee replacements but walk 4 miles a day. You should be so proud of yourself.

I walked a 5k yesterday. Three times I ran for thirty seconds. I can't believe how hard it was to move my body. Does it get easier when there's less of you to move? I really want to run.
