Good morning, Jenneifer and Menuers,
Weekend was relaxing. I did go to the gym both days. February really flew by. My next day off work will be Good Friday. It is so late this year not till April 18. I will come back to work that Monday then 2 short weeks and I am off to Costa Rica. I am so ready for a vacation. Hopefully I can get down by a few pounds, so I have some wiggle room when I am away.
QOTD: I remember going to the ocean for the 1st time. I think I was 3 or 4. I jumped in and swallowed a mouth full of salt and threw up. I am sure I have more but that stands out.
Accountability: I fell to the temptation, and I bought a Sfogliatelle. We visited an Italian market and I could not resist.

Good morning, everybody!
I was pleased with how 25.1 went. My goal was to make it through the round of 18 burpee db jump overs and I got through the 18, plus a few reps into the round of 21. I will do 25.2 on Saturday morning because we are traveling this week.
The rest of the weekend was fun, we had a Burgundy wine dinner on Friday. My favorite course was similar to a beef Wellington- tiny morsels of beef wrapped in pastry with a sauce. It was served over parsnips. The Crème Brûlée with Rose Champagne was amazing also. More CrossFit and TV chilling on Saturday.
Yesterday, we went for herbed potatoes with Raclette. So good, but so filling.
This is just a one day work week because we are going to Palm Springs tomorrow. I was going to take the whole week off, but I will be stealth traveling at the end of next week. Tonight I need to pack.
QOTD: playing with my cousins when I was about the same age (3 1/2).
Breakfast: bagel
Lunch: catered
Dinner: chili
Have a great day, all!

Good mornin y'all.
it was an interesting weekend. Our garage door opener broke in spectacular fashion. It came detached from the wall and barely missed falling on our car. My brother came over Saturday and we managed to get it open enough to get the car out. We'll be calling today to see if someone can come fix it. It's not an old garage door but the opener is old and the track for it is old too. My grandpa kind of rigged it in there how it wasn't supposed to.
my bloodwork results and UR analysis shows I likely have CKD. I repeat the analysis Friday and we'll see where we go from there. I will have to have another colonoscopy and likely an EGD as well. I've got a referral into a GI doctor. I personally don't think I have a GI bleed but it's best to make sure I guess. My spirits are ok though. I'm not overly worried per se. It'll be what it'll be. If I do have CKD I will have to really alter my diet. I see a lot of research being done this week
QOTD: my grandpa letting me jump off of his shoulders when we were at the lake. I must've been 7 or 8. I don't remember a lot of my childhood.
B: egg whites, sausage , cheese and a special k crisp. Coffee
L: probably a salad of some sort
D: ????
if you've ever been loved by a cat you get this all to well.
Good Monday morning everyone. The weekend was pretty good. We got three alfalfa bales for the rabbits and goats and while we were at the farm I asked if they had any beef specials going on. They still had the sirloins 15% off so we went over to the beef store. Ended up with a few sirloins and a nice big flank steak to make jerky.
QOTD: What is your earliest memory? I remember when I was 3 1/2 sitting on my grandfather's lap while he was baling hay. He would watch me while my mom ran errands sometimes. We were stopped by the edge of a field looking at two squirrels playing when we heard my mom yell from across the field. She was yelling at him to not let me fall off. He just gave her a look "like really I'm not going to let her fall". He died a year later from colon cancer.
B: coffee and two hard boiled eggs
L: Bok choy soup
D: pork burgers
30 minutes on the treadmill
Have a great day!!!!
How did your eating habits change after surgery?
All of them. It's natural . But I educated myself through the Bariatric team and was fortunate to go to a couple support groups prior to surgery. Do not listen to those who have never had the surgery, or those who do not have a history with obesity. They will never understand your struggles.

I imagine myself on a park bench anxiously waiting for my dealer to bring me my fix of sugar and Coca Cola.

Real life begins where your comfort zone ends
Long ago I learned the best method of communication is the method that your listener prefers. I will talk on the phone, email, text, or even use snail mail if I find that is the most efficient way to deal with that person. My own personal preference is texting. It is quick and everything is in writing. I also use the voice method of dictating texts so can be less tedious.
When I worked for TurboTax would usually start with a chat session, then switch to phone if it got too complicated for texting. Sometimes people would be at their office or with other people around and did not want to have others overhear their personal tax questions. So for them chat sessions were ideal and then I might call them back at home we needed to talk and they needed privacy.
When I was learning programming language, one professor said that someday people would be in the same room typing messages to others in the room and not talking anymore. Back then it sounded like science fiction. Now it is normal life.
