Good Monday Morning Gang!! Boy did I ever need some vacation time of course I've come back to a load of stupid crap at work, but I'll get through it. I have tons of pictures to post, but for some reason OH is being fussy so when I can post them I will.
I got everything pretty much done that I wanted to do and even got to go to America's Stonehenge in Salem, NH. Such a fun place to visit. We went raspberry picking, finished getting everything planted, picked up the big cages, and almost got the rabbit hutch finished. The best of all we joined the YMCA yesterday and the entire month of July was free with no joining fee either. I didn't realize how much it offered, and they just put in a new sauna and steam room. The workout room is amazing as is the two pools and hot tub. Irvin and I are very excited.
QOTD: Who here likes History? Like ancient History 4000+ years? When we went to America's Stonehenge it was fascinating to learn that it was traced back to be over 4000 years old and that they believed it had been made by ancient travelers. There is even a sacrificial table there. I'm hoping it was for animals and not humans.

Tonight, we will go to the Y and either swim laps, use the treadmill, or do both they are opened until 9pm.
Have a great day everyone!!!
I do avoid most fats, but eat a small amount of steak and red meats. I am OK with ham but have not tried nuts or avocado. All you can do is try a small amount and see if your body can handle it.

This is worth checking in with a doctor. After 17 years there is a good chance you are developing gall bladder issues. The surgery to remove it is pretty easy. I am almost 18 years and had gall bladder surgery about five years ago. I pretty much avoid fats but can eat potato chips with no problems.

It happened while I was eating....which was odd. I had just bought the chips but will check. I can have a reaction to sugar, (I have reactive hypoglycemia) so I am really careful with sugar. But hadn't really noticed an issue with fats before, other than the gallbladder. Won't be trying it out again, and I just had my annual checkup....but maybe calling them would be an idea. Thanks.
First...great job maintaining your weight! What you experienced is not what I think of as dumping...that is when the sugars and fat**** your bloodstream fast and you get an unpleasant reaction from it. For me, it feels like what I've been hit by a truck. Terrible abdominal pain, my heart races, break out in a cold sweat, feel compelled to lie down and if I'm lucky fall asleep as the pain begins to subside. Then afterwards I have a bit of a after-dumping spaciness. Rarely there is diarrhea but I'd had my gallbladder out with my first wls in '99 so maybe that is why?
Check what type of oil was used to fry those chips as well as the expiry date on the package. Maybe your body just can't handle that style oil anymore or as you say maybe it's related to your gallbladder issues. Were you nauseated as well? When my mom would have a gallbladder attack she suffered 'at both ends' as she used to put it. If you still have a relationship with your wls, give his nurse a call and see if she/he thinks it warrants a visit to your pcm. Hoping this doesn't happen to you again, it must have been very unpleasant.
Hope the rest of your weekend goes well!

I did not live close to my grandparents. They were in Ireland and Brooklyn NY and I was in Ohio. So I have no pictures of them. Once in a while a picture shows up but they were all gone by 1960 and people did not take many pictures back then. Once in a while a cousin will share an old picture and I treasure those.
Fireworks are legal here but I don't expect to hear any from my senior citizen neighbors. i have two parties I can attend for the Fourth and wish I could go to both. But will go one who asked me first.
I love wildlife and documentaries. There is one on Amazon Prime call Zoo where you learn a lot about animals. I always love a day at the zoo and watching exotic animals.

I love the meme! Don't know how you handle the cicadas they would drive me nuts!
My roommate got a job, so maybe things will be better. I had 19 hours paid last week, which is good since I haven't had a paycheck in almost 2 months. I did finally get money from Paid Leave Oregon, so I'm not totally broke. I can cover my house payment for this month. I hate living paycheck to paycheck but that is my reality.
It's not supposed to be as hot as the last couple of days, high 90's is too warm. Especially when trying to keep my 2nd story bedroom cool at night. To keep it cool the downstairs is cold. I've been thinking about selling my house, but honestly I don't think I can afford the interest rates now and don't want to move again. The stairs and I are not friends, I really want a single story house.
My neighbors, the ones with the rooster were playing very loud musi****il about 10:30PM on Saturday, my roommate had talked to them a couple of days before and basically they told him too bad call the cops. Why is there always one neighbor that makes everyone else's life a living hell? Not looking forward to the 4th, I despise fireworks and have PTSD so it just sucks. The city of Portland has banned fireworks but I don't think it will do any good.
Have a great day everyone! I miss QJB and Grim has anyone heard how they are doing?

good morning y'all!
Not a lot planned today. Yesterday was better but still kind of dicey with my mom. Hopefully she'll be even better today!
I'm hoping to get some stuff around the house done today. My mom may decide to go somewhere. None of the grocery stores has really good sales for the 4th. Kind of disappointing. I wa hoping for some. My stomach has been really messed up the past week or two. Not sure what all it is from. Going to cut back on a few things and hope it takes care of it.
QOTD: I posted yesterday about what I got my mom for her b-day...the bird feeder with a web cam. Do y'all enjoy watching wildlife?
the greatest joy of my life in those regards was when I saw my first wild bison in Yellowstone NP. I cried...literally. I love love love seeing and watching wildlife. It makes me wish I could see the country before it was settled. I've seen black bears in Canada, foxes in RMNP, moose, wolfs and tons and tons of elk. Funny enough I hate wildlife documentaries that include carnage. I don't view it as entertainment to see something lose its life. I know it happens but I don't want to watch it.
