Good morning Jen and Meneurs.
Yup blistery cold here in Pittsburgh today too. Rudy has been a very good boy. He Runs out and gets it done. I can't blame him. So glad I do not live in an era where an outhouse was required. As for the new system here at work I think it is pretty self-explanatory . I also think I am over thinking it and causing anxiety that is not necessary. Hopefully I will be comfy by mid-February and the anxiety is gone.

Nothing embarrasses me like getting a black eye. Mine have been from accidents with doorknobs. Hope you heal quickly.

Real life begins where your comfort zone ends
I got away with diner for breakfast when my stomach was younger and stronger. I would not even try now with the exception of possibly left over steak. I have to pick breakfast foods that are pretty bland early in the morning.
I got chicken noodle soup from Panera this weekend and it is surprisingly good. I will have that for lunch today and dinner is still up in the air. Something warm for sure.

Real life begins where your comfort zone ends
Good morning, everybody!
One third of the way through winter, not too shabby!
I managed to give myself a black eye on Saturday. I was using the Ski ERG machine. That is basically a rower turned on its side. You stand on the platform and pull handles which are attached to cables and the flywheel from a rower. The flywheel provides resistance on the way down and retracts the cables on the way up. It simulates cross country skiing. Anyways, I let go of the handles and they snapped back up and caught me right in the eye socket. No serious injury but I immediately had a good sized egg on it.
Now the swelling has gone down, but it's starting to turn colors. Today it definitely looks worse than it did yesterday.
We also have very cold weather here in Chicago for a few days. I will go out to the gym this morning, but that is about it. Tomorrow is looking like it could be the coldest day of the year, and then it starts warming up. Next week, I am in Orlando for work, which will be a welcome break. I am off of work, but do have one conference call in the afternoon.
QOTDP: Yes definitely.
Breakfast: corned beef hash
Lunch: Chili
Dinner: Chicken
Have a great day, all!

Good mornin all!
it's cold here too but supposed to be colder tonight. They are saying a low of 4° and windchills in the -20s. That's highly unusual for my part of tx. They are a,so saying Houston will get the white stuff. It's going to be chaos.
i have an appointment with the orthopedic surgeon this afternoon so if you could send me some positive stuff my way I'd appreciate it. I'm pretty nervous about it. Just hoping to find out what's wrong.
QOTD: I do sometimes. It just depends on what we have and all.
B: eggs, cheese and coffee.
L: veggie bowl and maybe some chicken with it.
D: this one will most likely be chicken soup
made another bracelet over the weekend. I've decided for my birthday I'm going to make myself a special bracelet in this weave with a certain color orientation. I'm excited! Hopefully I'll be able to order the supplies by my birthday in February.
Well it's a cold and snowy start this Monday morning here in CT. The next few days are supposed to be pretty cold with a high of 2 degrees and a windchill of -15. I called my boss and told him I was taking a PTO day. There's 5 inches of snow on the ground with ice underneath and I didn't feel like driving in that crap.
We decided to hold off on getting the Billy goat due to the cold weather that we are expecting. We added an IBC tote in the trailer for an added area for them to sleep with extra straw, but wanted to see how the two girls do first.
QOTD: Do you ever have "dinner" food for breakfast? Sometimes I have foods that one would consider a dinner or even a lunch food for breakfast. Especially if I pre-make a bunch of stuff over the weekend.
B: bowl of chili with sharp cheese
L: seafood gumbo
D: turkey salad
I'll be doing some shoveling today so that should cover my exercise.
Have a wonderful day everyone.
I was able to stay late tonight and finish most of it. Now I've got more of my weekend.
QOTD- I used to have an unlimited pass for Regal Cinemas, but so few good movies have been coming out I cancelled it. I realized I don't go often enough to make it pay. My favorite theater has the reclining seats and I try to find the early showing with very few people. One movie I was the only one in the theater.
I haven't worked many hours this week due to my back and other ailments, so I'll probably work tomorrow to make some of it up.
I'm pretty much done with football. Once my teams are done playing I qui****ching. I doubt that I will watch the CFP championship game, but I'm rooting for Notre Dame, since Ohio blew up the Ducks season. The Seahawks sucked this year, so I just don't know. Not a fan of Geno Smith but the whole offense pretty much stunk, so who knows. I miss Pete Carroll, but no telling what will happen now.
Have a great day everyone!
